The Alexis is a really, super comfy hotel. The rooms are really comfortable. Seriously, I had a difficult time leaving the room to go anywhere to do things. My room was a King. It had a couch, a nice coffee table, a desk and a nice big bath! The service at the hotel is really exemplary! Room service menu is excellent. Something for everyone! The Valet staff is really tight. They take care of most things you need or at least get things started. They get you to restaurants, answer your questions about where to go and what to do around town. Hotel has a bar that's very nice....It's kind of like a library. Really comfy feel, the servers are very cool and the bartenders poured great drinks! But this is a great place to stay in Seattle!

Room Tip: I had a west facing room which was on the alley behind the hotel. The building behind the hotel blo...

Haha, leaving the room is the only hard part of the stay--we'll take care of the rest (or perhaps room service?) Get comfy at the Alexis anytime!

Our trip to Seattle allowed us to stay at the Alexis for about 4 nights. The staff knew our names, what our child liked to eat and would give us suggestions as to what to go see and try. The cleaning staff would leave us little hand written notes, or messages on the mirror suggesting activities in the hotel "You should try yoga at 7:00 am", The room was always clean. Nothing was complicated. They were friendly and kind and energetic and fun. They truly made us feel at home. The EMP Suite was great and the views were astonishing! Slightly pricey restaurant but also very very good. Walking distance to everything, the location was awesome as was everything else in the hotel!

It's not just our job to find you the perfect restaurant for a picky eater, it's what we love to do! It's really our guests that make this hotel awesome, so please come back soon (and do try the yoga--it's a blast! : )

Had a great weekend stay in Seattle here. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Great hotel, very nice rooms and the wine tasting and live music was a great touch! A quick walk to the waterfront, Pike Place Market and to downtown shopping! A little pricy but well worth the "boutique" experience!

Valet parking is a bit pricey at $40/day (I guess that is downtown Seattle for you) so you may want to self-park. Not sure it is any cheaper and probably a hassle though.

Room Tip: Stay away from the 1st ave side. A bit noisy with vehicle traffic...

Please do let us know your room preferences- we have a gorgeous courtyard so you can elimate that city noise, or perhaps the Madison Street view for bright trees out the window- and would love to find you your perfect space to relax.

We really enjoyed staying at the Alexis. It is very well located, and the amenities like the wine tasting hour are fun. The room was very nice, with a lot of room to do yoga, etc. The hotel TV channel has yoga and pilates workouts to do on your own time.

Room Tip: Ask for deluxe King

Booking a King Deluxe is a great tip--you'll get a little more space to lounge and spread out that yoga mat. Ask the front desk about our new morning yoga sessions next time you visit!

I stayed at the Alexis Hotel for one night last weekend. Traffic along First Avenue was gridlocked when we arrived and the valet was a welcome sight. From the moment he greeted us to check-out the next afternoon, our stay was exceptional.

I had registered for Kimpton's loyalty program prior to arriving and was pleased to be offered complimentary WiFi, as well as a "Raid the Mini Bar" pass (up to $10). As well, I booked as a CAA member and received 50% off the valet charge. Speaking of which, park your car and forget about it for the night. The Alexis is within walking distance of historic Pike Place Market, the Seattle waterfront, and shopping districts, as well as wonderful restaurants and cafes. A cab to the Space Needle and surrounding attractions cost me just $7.

The hotel itself is very well maintained. Our room was elegantly decorated and the bathroom was perfect - perfectly clean and appointed with all the toiletries (full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer, cosmetic cotton pads, hair dryer). We had a fully-stocked mini fridge, alarm clock/radio, flatscreen TV, functioning air conditioner and windows that opened. The beds? Absolutely dreamy!

We took part in the hotel's "happy hour" with complimentary wine, sangria and cucumber water while we enjoyed the sounds of their live musician, Nate June, in the lobby. There's an excellent brunch to be had at the Library Bistro or dinner at the Bookstore Bar.

Perhaps the crowning glory of the Alexis Hotel is their staff...the valets, bellboys, concierge, restaurant and reception staff go out of their way to treat you like royalty, yet make you feel completely at home. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much! I'm happy to see you were able to take advantage of so much of what the Alexis has to offer--a glass of sangria, Nate on the guitar, these make us feel at home and it's a pleasure to share that with you and your family. Come back soon!

The room is decorated right out of Alice in Wonderland, the staff is young and energetic, it's near the Downtown/Pike market area, they have bowls of fresh apples for you in the lobby, and everything is kept up well. Our spacious room was at the back of the courtyard that looks out onto Madison with French doors and a Juliet balcony. It had a fine bathroom with white faux-leather wallpaper and some beautiful brown marble all around. The door to the bathroom squeaked, however, as did the mattress. I also wondered why anyone would need four full-legnth mirrors in one room, but maybe someone does. You should be aware that this place is right on First Street and you are almost certain to get an ambulance, cop or fire siren sometime during the night, so I would opt for a room away from the front of the building. The back rooms also have an ocean view. The rooms on the top (fourth floor) are really tiny, so I'd avoid those as well.

Room Tip: Get one of the back rooms on the first-thrid floor.

Stayed here for 3 nights in June. Great hotel, large rooms, VERY comfy beds and pillows, fantastic breakfast, cool bar and exceptionally friendly staff. They even have a free wine tasting every evening (which many guests seem to enjoy) what more could you want?
