“Average for the price”

Location was good; walking distance to most retaurants. But it got noisy at night. The room was average, with older looking interior design. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. Parking was a couple of blocks away from the hotel and staff weren't as friendly. Had the "ok, hurry up and move on" attitude.

I would pay a little more for a better hotel should I visit Seattle again.

As a family coming in with a 6 month old from middle of knowwhere Canada I was a bit suspicious of the negative reviews about the Belltown Area of seattle.

Not wanting to pay a kings ransom for a room I decided to put my faith in tripadvisor reviewers and take a chance and I'm glad I did. As everyone else has said, Belltown is in the middle of everything in Seattle. We easily walked to the Market and Space Needle and then when the baby needed a nap it was just a quick trip back to the hotel for some shut eye. It was quite warm in Seattle but the fans cooled the room off enough that it was comfortable and the interior courtyard room blocked out all the noise from the surrounding areas. The room itself was clean and well kept and the drinks and snacks left in the room were a nice treat after a long day of driving.

My main intention while in Seattle was to take in a couple baseball games and the location for that couldn't have been better either. Just steps from the front door of the hotel is 4 or 5 bus routes that take you as close to the ball stadium as you can get. Once the game was over another 4 or 5 routes to drop us off right outside the hotel.

Lots of great restaurants around and the staff was great and pointing out there favorites.

As for the area, I had no issues at all day or night. Needless to say I wasn't out until 2 or 3 in the morning but even around mid-night on a Monday there were plenty of people around and any homeless paid no more attention to me than I did to them.

I had emailed a few weeks in advance hoping to get one of the coveted parking spots and upon arrival a few hours before check-in time there was a parking pass waiting for me and the offer to store some bags while our room was finished being cleaned.

The room was $50-$100 less a night than anywhere else downtown and I'd have a hard time figuring out what those hotels could offer me to make up that difference. When I'm back in Seattle again some time Belltown Inn will be my home away from home.

Great location, easy walking distance to many attractions. Fantastic places to eat in the neighborhood. I've stayed here several times. Its affordable, the rooms are clean, and its got a great location. Parking is across the street, internet is a fee, and there isn't AC. The AC thing normally isn't an issue since Seattle typically doesn't get too hot, but I was there last week and it was super muggy, the fans in the rooms helped some, but would have loved to get it a little cooler in the room to sleep. I will stay here again, but will probably wait for the summer season to be over.

The Belltown Inn is within walking distance to Pike's Market and to the Space Needle. The neighborhood has a variety of restaurants. The staff is friendly and informative. The room was comfortable. The Inn has an interior patio that has a fountain which was very pleasant to hear. There is a deck on the roof that has a great view of the water. You also meet your fellow guests up on the deck and learn a lot about what they did in Seattle. I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again when I return to Seattle.

Belltown used to be not so nice area but its getting a new life and we loved it! This little hotel completely renovated a few years ago had everything we needed. Free wifi. Quiet. Microwave and fridge. Great location. We walked everywhere. Good shopping dozens of good restaurants. Pike street market about 10 minute walk. But everything is uphill and down and steps so be prepared for a good workout.

Yes. There is no AC (Don't really need it). Yes it gets noisy from the rowdies in the street (the supplied fans actually work well as ambient noise generators that, for me, drowned out a lot of the street noise). BUT you are right in the middle of things in Seattle and within walking distance of most sights. You are NOT paying exhorbitant rates and the accomodations are better than average. If you drive, there really is no need to get the hotel pass for the lot across the street. Street parking is pretty convenient and no more secure. Parking can be prepaid for the next morning- very civilized. Read the meter. It's all there. I think I saw another hotel in the same area with more modern accomodations at around the same price point, so might try that next time. But if you got a good deal for this hotel, and don't mind some noise, you could do much worse than the Belltwon Inn.

Room Tip: I was on the top floor facing the street. Facing the courtyard on a higher floor may be less noisy...

Twin Peaks fans will get the reference, but to everyone else, it's a realistic review.

The bottom line: we would stay here again.

Friendly front desk and housekeeping staff, great location between the market and Seattle Center, and functional, pleasant, clean rooms. Bed and pillows were more than adequate for a good night's sleep. Rooms were big-city small but if you're out during the day, who cares? Fridge, micro and coffee in the rooms and the roof-top terrace made breakfasts/nightcaps nicer and cheaper. There is a little grocery store a block away.

If you have issues with noise, ask for a room that doesn't face 3rd avenue. The view may be less but you'll sleep better as the local, non-stop bus terminal is RIGHT outside. We've stayed in NYC and still found this very loud -disclaimer: window was open as it was in the 80's.

I don't think you'll find a better value anywhere, the location:price ratio is unbeatable and it's really just a fine, cute, clean, safe place to crash at night. If you're looking for fancyness, room service or pools, keep looking.

Room Tip: Rooms facing 3rd avenue are very loud. I mean LOUD. I'm a sleep through anything person and I st...
