“Great place”
Reviewed June 19, 2005

This place is lots of fun. There are interactive exhibits for every age - even something for a toddler. It's worth the short bus trip from downtown. Be sure to take the 30 minute tour of the Grand Gallery. Also, call ahead to make sure they're not closing early for a function. The building is bright and airy. The World War exhibits are informative.

“Aviation Buffs Paradise ... but Fun for All”
Reviewed September 22, 2004

Seattle's Museum of Flight is one of the premier aviation museums in the United States. The collection at the Museum includes a Concorde, an SR-71 Blackbird, Boeing 707 used as AirForce One, the first Boeing 747 and numerous U.S. and non U.S. military and civilian aircraft. And that doesn't include the Space exhibits such as the SpaceWalk simulator and the SpaceJeep. But what makes this place special is not simply the breadth of Air and Space artifacts, but the depth to which you can explore aviation. From the Red Barn where the Boeing company was born ... you begin to learn the pioneer spirit of aviation and the risks taken to for man to enjoy flight. Really amazing stuff. And you'll appreciate even more the miricle of flight the next time you hop on a discount flight!

“Excellent Museum”
Reviewed July 25, 2004

I found this museum very interesting and entertaining. I could have stayed in the mock control tower all day. The museum is on the grounds of the busy Boeing Field and live control tower chatter is piped into the mock tower. Also saw the insides of a Concorde and was impressed with the WWII and WWI displays in the new wing of the museum. My only regret was that I didn't get there earlier in the day and had to leave by 5:00.
