“Excellent Dining Spot Prior to Theatre Events”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Enjoyed an early evening dinner so we could make a show at the 5th Avenue. The team at Capital made us feel welcomed from the second we walked through the door. Our server, Aram, remembered us from our last visit, several months ago. He specifically called out that he had my wife's allergy issues accounted for. We had some friends text us while at the restaurant that they were nearby. We asked Aram if he could accommodate them and instantly the table is transformed for 4. The food is wonderful. The service is spectacular...and they got us out the door right on time for the show. You will not be disappointed.

“Good food - poor service at bar”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

I instantly dislike a restaurant/bar when I go in for happy hour and ask for a menu and they give me the full menu. I then had to ask for the happy hour menu so it seems like they were trying not to promote that. Food was good but that left a bad image to me.

“Good food great service”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Four of us enjoyed dinner while attending the Seattle Boat Show. Nice atmosphere and exceptional service. We were literally surrounded by servers ensuring every detail was taken care of. The meals, steaks and seafood, were cooked to perfection and the wine list is extensive. The Capital Grille has become our restaurant of choice every January when we visit Seattle.

“Dependable Steakhouse”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

Like most large cities, Seattle is littered with steakhouses. The Capital Grille is a pretty solid choice for those looking to spend a few bucks and enjoy good steaks and seafood. We had a private room for a group of 15 ordering off a limited menu. Appetizers- crab cakes, beef carpacio and calamari were all good. Their calamari is a bit differnet with a nice kick from some peppers, but always just a touch soggy. King Salmon was very good- perhaps a bit undercooked for a medium prep but tasty. Sides were the highlight - order the mushrooms and beans.

Diverse wine list offers several price points.

Would note the service was very good for a tight room with a large crowd.

“You Get What You Pay For”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Service is courteous and kind as can be. Steaks are high quality and expertly prepared. Sides are vast subcontinents unto themselves. (Hint--even split the salad). My spouse and I easily could have been sated with half a salad each, the smallest filet each, and a split macaroni and cheese. We ordered too much and took a bunch home. This place is safe bet. If you need to know that you are going to be treated well and that the meal will be high quality, then this is your place. As long as you are prepared to pay for it. Would probably be even better if you were on an expense account.
