Owner description: For one of the best views of Seattle head to Kerry Park, a small park located on the south side of Queen Anne Hill.  A photo from here is Seattle postcard-perfect, featuring ferries crossing Elliott Bay, the city skyline with the Space Needle in the forefront and, if weather conditions are favorable, a view of Mt. Rainier.

Beautiful view of the city. Very tiny piece of land, good for a few pictures ( 5 minutes). It is okay to walk back from Kerry Park because it is downhill but the way up is very steep.

A delightful little park in a beautiful neighborhood high atop a hill overlooking the city skyline with the Space Needle in the foreground.

If you are like me, you enjoy doing as much as possible for free while traveling. You also probably enjoy wonderful views, doubly so if they come free of charge. Kerry Park is the perfect solution to both of these things. Offering wonderful skyline views of Seattle and Mt. Rainer this free public space receives no complaints from me. When I visited it was a clear, sunny day which made everything even better. If you visited on a low visibility day it probably wouldn't be as worth it, though I have seen some very pretty cloudy/foggy photos from the park. There was a bit of a crowd, but nothing like I was expecting. It didn't take me long to get a few good photos and a good seat. If you are on foot there is a bit of a hill climb to get to the park, but nothing that terrible. Buses also run nearby if you are going via transit. The neighborhood around the park also has lots of nice houses to look at as you travel to the park.

This was the first place (in 2004) I ever saw Seattle from...after the airport. We went here recently and it is still the best view of the city...and Rainer on a good day!

Come here for your panoramic shots, wonderful view of downtown and Elliot Bay! We spent awhile here and just couldn't get enough.
