“A treat for music lovers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

This place is the site of the Seattle Symphonic Orchestra. A modern, functional and very nice building, excellently located. Music lovers should not miss the opportunity of attending a concert in it.
I've been there for an evening of Chamber Music in which very gifted artists performed in duos as well as in a quartet.

“Wonderful Place for Music”

The hall is a beautiful structure with excellent acoustics and great seating. The Seattle Symphony Orchestra is excellent. A terrific experience except for the parking.

“A premier music/performance hall in North America”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

I've been to Carnegie Hall, Davies Hall, Severance Hall, the magnificent performance space for the Chicago Symphony, on Michigan Avenue but the recently built concert hall for the Seattle Symphony---Benaryoa Hall, one of the most spendid for acoustics in the U.S. What had been a blah, on the edge of no-where location downtown, the waste land of Second Avenue the scary boarding area for Metro transit buses on Third Avenue to the east, that transit station for buses and light rail underneath...for once Seattle came to the forefront and built a splendid hall for a very well received and world class orchestra.
There are few downsides; perhaps for a visitor from Europe or back East....or even San Francisco, a nod to the wet climate of Winter, perhaps a little pedestrian, the lobby interior not a place which would welcome a Hapsburg Emperor or a Russian Tsar but since none of those are in business these days what you see is still very special.
