“Love this place”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Recently went down to meet a friend...have not been to Pike Place Market since I was a kid and heard it was "not as good as it used to be"

Well we LOVED it! Such a great mix of culture, ethnic diversity, fish throwing, great free samples, and TONS of super fun, funky shops. Come for the experience, stay for the people watching, enjoy the diversity of all the little shops up and downstairs. Just as fun as I remember!

“Seattle Classic”

If you don't make it here, I wouldn't believe you were in Seattle at all. I taste and buy too much cheese every time. Great Seattle Experience.

Wonderful vibe and great energy!
Great to personally see fish being thrown once bought by clients.
If you're a coffee fan, head to the 1st Starbucks, the original one at the market!

A must see in Seattle. Great food and good one of a kind finds. Be sure and stop by the fish stand and watch the tossing of the fish.

“even locals shop here”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

The Pike Place Market in Seattle has been an attraction for decades. Located high up on the hill overlooking Elliott Bay, it's a great place to scope out the coming and going of ships and ferries down below, and on a clear day the view of the Olympic Mountains to the west is amazing. What sets Pike Place Market apart from other so-called "tourist destinations" is that it is a genuine fully functioning market replete with a dazzling array of vendors offering everything from oysters and salmon to vegetables and,,,,you name it. You always know when an attraction is the real deal when locals actually shop there. And Pike Market is always filled with Seattleites looking for excellent buys. Pricing is truly competitive with no gouging in sight. A great example are the fresh flowers brought in daily. The prices are the best anywhere, even better than Costco or Sams. And they are fresher with more variety. So come to the Market and enjoy a Seattle tradition. Excellent eateries such as Cutter's Bay House are in abundance around the Market.
Plan to devote a couple of hours for your visit because there is so much to see!
