If you're planning a sales meeting, the Roosevelt is the place to stay. Great location, walking distance to Pikes Place Market, and restaurants. We had 25 people stay here and the rooms were great, but the meeting accomodations were even better. We had a personal asssitant with the hotel to help us with any technology and food and drink.

Very impressed with the friendly staff and accomodations. This hotel has a buzz that led to a great envirnment for our meeting. Highly recommend you have your meetings here.

I stayed here a couple of nights after attending a conference. The hotel was right across the street from the conference hotel and right in the middle of a bunch of shopping and restauants. It was an easy walk to the market and Westlake station. (I rode in on the light rail.) The room was comfortable and modest. It was very clean I loved the soft bed. The flat screen tv was great. Downstairs in the lobby there are 2 computers with internet access you can use or bring your laptop down for free internet access. Staff was helpful with directions. I would definetely stay there again.

We came down to Seattle from Vancouver for the weekend. The concierge at the hotel was very helpful in arranging a great tour of the city and Puget Sound. Pike's Market and great shopping were within easy wallking distance from the hotel. The room did not have a view but was very attractive and comfortable. Wi Fi was not free in the room but was available for free in the lobby which had plenty of seating and complimentarly coffee in in the morning. We loved the bar at the hotel and went there for a bit each night. Our favorite discoveries in dining were the Cheesecake Factory across the street as well as Pike's Chowder and the Pink Door found in the market's alley's. Serious Pie had delicious pizza and was also walking distance in a different direction. We also enjoyed some great brews at Pike's Pub near the market. We found the hotel to be excellent accomodation for the purpose of our visit.

Excellent location, excellent staff. I was a little worried when I booked it because the photos on the site had the rooms looking REALLY outdated, but again for the price and location I could not pass it up. Rooms were excellent and had been updated a bit from what was shown on the website.

Basically, the room is clean and nice but the AC is too noisy. We can also hear voices from the next room, very loud. The worst part was the card key which supposes to operate the elevator and open room door often went down. During our 5-day staying, we have changed our card keys three times. Other guests also had the same problem.
Another thing I'd like to complain is that I asked the front desk to book a Boeing Tour for me. However, the front desk booked me to a company that is different with the brochure I showed them without consulting with me first. This mistake not only cost me more money ($11 difference) but also separated me from my friends who went on with another company.

Wife and I do an annual December trip to Seattle to take in shopping, shows, food, and the city Christmas vibe. Usually stay at the Sheraton, which is no slouch, but saw a special at the Roosevelt for Jacuzzi View Suite. About $50 less than the Sheraton regular room, so had to give it a go. Have always been aware of the Roosevelt and have knocked back more than a couple of martini's at Von's over the years but first time staying there.

Awesome, professional, and polite staff; from valet to conceriage to front desk to cleaning staff. The lobby way elegant and decked out with Christmas decorations. Reeks of old school charm you can only find in the older hotels. In spite of concerns from previous reviews, the elevators were fine. The room was huge. His/her robes and slippers. Lot's of stuff other than shampoo and conditioner including bath salts for the jacuzzi. Room was on the northwest corner of the building so had two walls with windows offering natural light. A great view of the city, including the Macy's star.

The only complaint would be how much on-street activity I could hear. Especially when the bars closed and you could hear lots of hollering and shouting. I though the window was open. I suspect this is simply because the age of the building and it is not insulated for sound like newer construction.

All in all, a 5 star experience. We will return next year.

The location of the Roosevelt is AMAZING! It is 6 blocks from the Pike Place Market and so close to all the shopping centers. We loved how we could walk out the door an be anywhere we wanted in less than 5 minutes. The elevator was slow, but since we weren't in a rush, it didn't bother us. There is free internet in the lobby which is really helpful, we only wished we could get it in our room too. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

There is a TON to do around the hotel. We ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel and it was pretty good. They have a good variety of beer to choose from and their corn bread is so good! On the next block (6th Ave) there is a really good restaurant called The Taphouse. They have awesome happy hour specials there. We also ate at Il Fornaio in the Nordstrom mall, which was delicious and decent priced for an upscale restaurant. The Roosevelt hotel is conveniently located right next to the Metro station in the Nordstrom mall and the ride-free time is pretty decent. Like most of Seattle, there are 3 Starbucks' (one in the Barnes and Noble) within 2 blocks of the hotel, so you're never out of options for caffeine. Overall, you cannot go wrong with this hotel and location!

If you are going to do any tourist attractions, be sure to buy the City Pass. It is only about $60 and it allows you to skip lines and save a lot of money on admission prices. You also get a Day/Night pass to the Space Needle. If you take the bus, be sure to hold onto the pass that the driver gives you because it is a day pass for a certain number hours that saves you fares. Also, the blocks aren't nearly as large as they seem on the maps, so walk everywhere you can. You could even walk to the Space Needle from the Roosevelt hotel on 7th Avenue if you have 15-20 minutes to spare. Lastly, when it comes to getting to and from the hotel, the Greyline shuttle is the best. It is only $25 round trip and they pick up/drop off every 20 minutes.
