Since a Camano Island cousin reunion was happening, thought my sister and I would make the most of our trip North. Dinner and movie with my Seattle daughter, walk along Alkai, drive yo Mount Baker to visit old family friend.
Great food at Toulouse Petit, and a nice comfy bed at Hotel Max. Thank you Seattle. I’ll be back!

The location of the Max is perfect - diagonally across street from my company's office, but as a place to stay, it's heavy on cool and trendy and light on comfort and efficiency. It's an older building, trendy hotel, so the rooms are small. The AC is a window unit which is loud (they give you earplugs - that's a giveaway), my room was cramped and the bathroom was tiny. Doors are decorated with trendy photos, lobby is very trendy, elevators are tiny. If you're into trendy, you'll like it, if you need a place to function, this is not the hotel for you.

Hi there,

Thank you for staying at the Max. The Max being built in the 1920's highlights cozy rooms for the musically and art inclined. Come back and visit us again down the road.

Stayed at Hotel Max for 3 nights. Very friendly and welcoming lobby. Loved the 3 different coffee's available in the AM and even someone there to pour and answer questions about the varieties. Spent alot of time on the Patio bar, great service.
Location is close to great everything: shopping; food; transportation. Rooms are not too big but I dont spend much time in them anyway. Felt very safe smoking outside this hotel.

We recently stayed July 16th, before our Alaskan cruise. The hotel and staff were great! Lobby was cozy for happy hour beer tasting and morning coffee. Btw... the coffee was fantastic!!!! Rooms were clean, decor was fun, bathrooms were nice too. The location couldn't be better! We walked to many sights without wasting money on a rental car.

My husband and I stayed here for a night on the last part of our trip. The decor is cool, and location is great as well, but it is so loud being in the city and the windows seem really old, so they don’t block out any noise. They provide ear plugs in the room which is a red flag. Also, I left a pair of shoes there and called to see if they had been found, and no one cared to call back.

Hi Jenjean21,

Thank you for staying at the Max and taking the time to share your feedback. Downtown Seattle in the summer can be very busy and a bit noisy at times. We hope to see you back at the Max in the future.
