“Great Location, Great Value, Great Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

Never stayed here before, loved the location, really convenient. The value for quality of room product was spot on. Loved it. Rooms were comfortable, slept great, clean and well maintained, but when I moved the chair, I did find some rubbish underneath. Not a deal breaker, but the housekeeper should have caught it. Valet was quick, friendly and informative, as well as the front desk staff. Everyone was great, and offered great customer service. Will definitely stay here again on one of my many Seattle trips.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Vintage Park for the most part. Our room was small and the bathroom was way too small for our needs but we made it work. The hotel décor is vintage as stated in the hotel name and I am sure that if you are in to vintage you will enjoy that theme. We had a free night through a gift certificate that we were given and we stayed an additional night. The view from our room was terrible which was disappointing. Every other time we have stayed in Seattle, our view has always been beautiful. There is not a coffee pot in the room which was also disappointing. Having said that, the hotel stocks good size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion which I thought was great. Also, the service when we arrived and departed was very good. The Valet attendants took our luggage for us since our flight did not leave until late afternoon so that we could go enjoy Seattle before we left for the airport. They were very friendly and attentive. We very much appreciated their hospitality. Thank you Matt and Steve! You guys are great!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the top floors with a good view.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years and have found it to be consistently excellent. Part of the appeal is Tulio; what an outstanding restaurant! The location is great, the staff is very helpful; and the wine tastings are fun.
We were upgraded to a king corner room for a small increase in price; this was well worth it.
We were in Seattle to attend the Paul McCartney concert; staff were very helpful in advising us how to get to the venue (you can walk!). There were a number of people staying at the hotel who were also attending the concert; the whole experience was really exciting and fun and the staff completely entered into the spirit of the occasion.

Room Tip: An upgrade is worth it!

Thank you so much! The Paul McCartney concert brought such a fun group of people to the city : ) We love to celebrate with our guests, whether it be over music, wine, or Chef Walter's Sweet Potato Gnocchi.

First, let me say that I am a huge fan of Kimpton Hotels and have been a Kimpton-in-touch member for 8+ years. I appreciate the smaller hotels and their updates to historic properties. I also find that you meet some fascinating people at their wine events. I’ve stayed at the Vintage Park on prior occasions as well as other Kimpton hotels in Seattle and elsewhere and always had positive experiences. I’m not sure what has happened with this hotel as my most recent visit for 2 nights in August was so disappointing.

I was not at all satisfied with the level of service provided. I arrived at the hotel at 4:00 pm & check-in was at 3:00 pm to find 2 other parties waiting in the lobby for rooms that should have been available. The front desk staff were totally disinterested. Although I had asked for information on how long the wait would be, nothing was provided. No explanation or acknowledgement was given to clients who were increasingly unhappy with the wait. When I was assigned my room, it was obvious that it had been hurriedly prepared as the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned. This lack of service continued at check-out with their refusal to accommodate a ½ hour delay for me to depart. Again, there was no attempt to provide an explanation.

This is so at odds from my previous experiences. When I think about what their service was like before, this just disappoints. In hindsight I should have taken the $300+ I paid per night elsewhere. Overall for this visit I found the hotel to be overrated and overpriced. There are nicer hotels available in the area with far better customer service.

We chose a Kimpton hotel in Seattle as we have stayed in several others in other cities and always been very impressed. Unfortunately the Vintage Park did not meet the standard of any of the other Kimptons we have stayed in.

Firstly, the reception area/Lounge - this is where the evening wine tasting event takes place. This is a very cold area with only a few chairs. Whilst we were there many guests came to sample the wine, so many that people were sitting on the floor or even standing by the elevators as there was no room for them anywhere else. Surely the hotel has a few spare chairs somewhere.

Secondly, the room was quite dated and very dark, even on a bright sunny day we needed the lights on. Housekeeping was very hit and miss, not always replenishing things such as soap etc. There is no coffee machine in the room but if you ask they will bring one. The maid did not replenish the coffee and sugar on two of the days we were there, one day she even took the cups away. They were brought when we phoned for them, but this should not have to happen.

We did not eat in the restaurant in the evening, however we did have breakfast which was good.

Staff were okay on the whole, however we did encounter one or two that were not as helpful as they could be but there were never many members of staff around so perhaps they were just over-worked and did not have time for us.

We were very disappointed with the Vintage Park as we were expecting so much more from this hotel based on our previous experiences with this chain.

To experience Seattle in such a short time, one should stay in the heart of the city and be close to Pike Place Market, museums, food, entertainment, shopping, sports events and transportation to everywhere. Hotel Vintage Park has all of those requirements. Perfect location. You can take the train to and from the airport, about $7 per person. The hotel's staff is superb. Small, intimate lobby with afternoon wine tasting. On site, delicious Tulio Restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spacious rooms, great beds. Not fancy, but has the warmth of a small hotel with caring, informative staff. Good strong coffee, and free WiFi when you sign up to be a Kimpton InTouch member. Easy. Dog friendly but always fresh and clean. We are pretty picky and this one passed the test with flying colors. Makes the sixth time we have stayed at a Kimpton property. They're so different in each city but the quality of service remains Top Notch.

Green Features: We liked having the toiletries on the wall instead of new little bottles everyday. What a waste. Also, don't mind using the sheets and towels for several days. And you can change if you like. Room temperature was perfect. We appreciate the practices Kimpton promotes. Just like we do.

We stayed 3 nights here and had a great experience all around. We were upgraded to a huge room. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Tulio is an amazing restaurant - don't miss it!
Very convenient for everything in downtown Seattle - you can walk everywhere.
We took advantage of the wine reception one evening which included great music ( solo guitar/singer) .

Thank you Louise V--you know you're at a Kimpton when you're close to everything in the city, but the food and wine are too good to want to leave the hotel! Enjoying Washington wines and appetizers from Chef Walter while Nate plays guitar in front of the fire is our favorite way to relax after a busy week--join us again soon!
