One of the best hotels for a conference that I've been to in a while. Great service. Short walk to Pike Place Market and about a mile to the Space Needle (you could take the Monorail there as well). The building does sway and creak at night--but I guess that's de rigeur for tall buildings in Seattle--nothing to be concerned about at all. I would recommend this hotel again.

We were part of large wedding group and it seemed that everyone we talked to had the same comments. Probably best location in the city. The staff was uniformly friendly, helpful and polite and honestly that almost made up for the negatives.

There just wasn't enough storage in the room for a couple staying for 6 days. Three very dinky drawers in the closet, that served little except to take up closet space, especially with the safe located on top. We ended up having to leave a suitcase out the entire trip as an extra drawer.

I think this issue is less important to the business traveler, which seems to be the hotels bread and butter. Their stays are usually shorter, and the variety of clothing they need not as great.

Also, the minibar situation is customer-unfriendly and seems out of date. Almost every hotel, high-end and lower-end, that we have stayed in over the last few years has provided space for guests, either by emptying all or part of the refrigerator, or providing an empty one. It just seems like such a blatent attempt at nickel and dimeing.

I would probably stay there again, based on their customer service. But not for a long stay.

A typical Westin--nice, very friendly staff, GREAT location, and well-appointed. The two round towers make it easy to spot and I like that you didn't have to walk forever to get to an elevator on your floor. The staff was very good. Rooms were adequate--clean but nothing extra special. Just a great property with a great location next to the mall, near Pike's Market and downtown. Space Needle is within easy walking.

The hotel is in a great location! The staff is nice. The sheets are glorious. But the parking is outrageous. $40 for self parking. Crazy! I had a really difficult time regulating the heat at night. The thermostat was set so you could not go lower than 65 degrees. We were on the 31st floor and the view was great. We had the curtains open the whole time.

Room Tip: Bring your own water bottles so you don't have to pay for theirs. Be careful you have to pay $4...

We are members of Starwood...we've been seduced by their great locations and the heavenly beds. The downtown Westin was a few blocks from the monorail, however one could walk to the Spaceneedle and other attractions.
The Seattle Westin held no surprises...concierge was great and helpful. Service was excellent, and room service (my personal hotel favorite) was great.

Although starting to show some age on the outside of the towers, the inside is breathtaking. You feel luxury the moment you step inside the doors. I am not fond of the nickname the Westin Seattle has received as being the 'twin towers' of the west but in all fairness it is definitely a unique set for any hotel in the US. You do pay for that uniqueness but you also pay for cleanliness and comfort as well as the memories to be able to say, I stayed there!
The layout of the floors and even the curved outer walls in the rooms is something you don't forget. Felt extremely roomy at 325 sq ft. The view from the higher floors facing towards the city will leave you 'Sleepless in Seattle'. Our room allowed us to lay in bed and see the Space Needle perfectly. The following morning, I hadn't thought about it but our curtains were open and the roof of the building next door was positioned so that the construction workers had a good view in and even shared a wave. I'm sure they didn't see anything to exciting but it reminded me that even 13+ stories up we should be a little more cautious when traveling.
The location in Seattle cannot be beat. Walking distance or quick monorail ride(monorail pick up directly across the street) to just about all the fun downtown Seattle has to offer. Approx. a 20 minute walk to Pikes Market & the waterfront but with so much to see on the way, it goes by fast.
Taxis line the hotel making transportation to and from the port to embark on a cruise very easy! Although make sure you aren't swayed by #2 or #3 in line as taxi #1 will get very angry! And although I found it amusing that all these drivers really wanted our business, I am glad I did not have any children with me as there must be some cut-throat business practices going on with the companies. They did get a little vulgar with each other till my husband put a hush to it and said at this point we are getting in this taxi and you can stand here and fight all day but you have other hotel guests standing there waiting for a ride. They shooo'ed quickly and we were on our way. This is no way a reflection of the hotel but rather a traveler tip if you are unfamiliar with how getting a taxi works. Just grab #1 in line and go. :)

Room Tip: Ask for high room, with Space Needle View

While staying here for a business trip I was extremely satisfied. The location is excellent for shopping, walking to the fish market, or getting around downtown. The room I had was outstanding, and was very clean. The workout facility was better than most hotels i've stayed in and there is a great doughnut shop right down the street you have to check out while staying there. When I return to Seattle there is no question the Westin will be the first place I look.
