“Nice Stay in Seattle”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

This hotel is located at very convenient location - a short walk to Pike Place Market and across the street from the monorail line that goes straight to Space Needle. We were upgraded to 40th floor with a view of the port. At check in, my 4year-old son received a kid's club kit which included a night light, power outlet covers and a duck which kept him busy in while taking bath. Our room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The Starbuck by the lobby is also a nice touch. We only stayed there for one night but we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for one night before boarding a cruise ship. We like Westin because you always know what you're going to get; a clean, nice room in a great location! We were impressed by the location and the rooms were nice.

We were able to walk to breakfast in the morning. Would I stay here again? Probably not only because we paid so much for it and it was comparable to other places we stayed that were much cheaper.

Nice hotel and great location to the Pike Place Market. And within walking distance to both stadiums. Clean room and good view of the city especially at night with all the lights. Enjoyed the Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea that is provided.

Westin didn't let me down again in Seattle. I had a great room on the 30th floor with a spectacular view of the city. My room was clean and comfortable. Especially loved the shower and the super comfy bed. The location was super convenient to the downtown area, and to the Safeco field where my business meeting was. It was only a 10 minute cab ride away, and easily walkable if I would have had the time. I'm scheduled to stay here again in July and am looking forward to it!

The Westin Seattle was classic Westin Wonderful - the heavenly bed, shower and super soft towels. The bathroom was super clean and bright and with a shower that had a choice of 'rain' type shower, then the hand held shower head that can be adjusted to just 'shower off' without washing my hair. The location was wonderful for scampering to the Pike Street Market, to Nordstrom, to Macy's...and the hotel shape (towers) was so unique that when I was not sure what direction to go I could look up, see the hotel and navigate my way around. The staff was helpful, especially Richard, the Concierge, who recommended fabulous eating placings - he knows his stuff - a real foodie! The hotel was so nice - the fitness cardio room (there was a cardio room and a strength room, in addition to a pool and hot tub) the cardio room was very nice - a wonderful assortment of cardio machines with built in workouts and TV.

Room Tip: Floor to ceiling windows... all rooms seem good.

Pro:
the rooms have an amazing, awesome views
Nice location, walking distance to many attractions
At the westlake light rail station
Food downstairs is very good
Friendly staff
Room had 1 king bed decent size, bed was very comfortable
Price was good.

Cons:
After hours there are not a lot of of places to eat or drink around the hotel, Mainly a business area, but no other complaints.

Highly recommended, I will stay here again when I return to Seattle.

If you're looking to visit Seattle without having to do a lot of driving for your tourist activities, the Westin is a fantastic location! To get to desired locations, walking 20min (or 30min if you're on the slow side) in any direction will get you there. Since the hotel is a cylindrical tower, the rooms are somewhat pie shaped but as a result, you do get a bigger view. Rooms were still a decent size and the bathroom was a fairly large space also. We asked for no housekeeping during our stay but the beds were very comfy (as all Westin beds are). The pool/jacuzzi was really nice since it was indoors with floor to ceiling windows. You could also access an outdoor patio from the pool area. And while we didn't use the gym, we checked it out and it seemed well equipped (a tad bit on the small sides). One of the downsides we experienced during our stay was the fact that the elevators are PAINFULLY slow. We stayed at the hotel during a dance competition but even when it was over, it didn't seem to improve the readiness of the elevators. Be prepared to wait several minutes for an elevator (seriously). And unfortunately, we had a room right beside an elevator bay, which allowed for quite a bit of noise in our room.

Be sure to stop by the info desk before heading out for the day. They are very informative and often have coupons or deals for tourist attractions.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator bay If you're worried about slow elevators, ask for a low...
