My husband had booked us a room here for our honeymoon! We were immediately impressed by the hotel just by seeing the massive fireplace outside. As soon as you enter the lobby, there's just tons of cool character. Another fireplace, rustic and upscale seating, and a stunning view! A wall of windows shows the gorgeous water that the hotel is on. The staff was so nice, and so excited for us that it was our honeymoon (they were excited to do a few upgrades for us as well). Our room was stunning. Oh my goodness! A large suite, two fireplaces, a claw foot tub, gorgeous shower, and a stunning view!!! It couldn't have been more perfect. WE also visited the Six Seven restaurant, which was amazing, and the bar, which we loved. We couldn't have been happier with The Edgewater!!!

If not for the service, and view, of the onsite lounge/restaurant this 'tired' property would struggle to earn a two star rating. The smallest hotel room that I have EVER stayed in over $100/night (and I am on the road weekly!). I was extremely disappointed in this property.

We're glad to have welcomed you but dismayed to hear of your dissatisfaction. With a variety of both spacious and accessible rooms available across our expansive property, we'd love the chance to host you again and to showcase some of those that are bound to exceed your expectations. We hope that you'll reach out again and afford us the opportunity.

This was a beautiful updated room with fireplace and luxurious shower. The room had northwest decor and I loved the brown teddy bear on the pillow. The restaurant was delicious both at lunch and dinner. A fabulous stay at The Edgewater!

Room Tip: I had the small room overlooking the waterfall at the front of the hotel. It wasa great value.

My wife and I stayed at The Edgewater for a few days recently while we were in Seattle. The hotel was a very nice surprise at the end of a trip involving several weeks of travel for us. The staff was very attentive and helpful. All the employees are knowledgeable about the facility and the surrounding area. The room was very comfortable and relaxing with a lovely view of the harbor. We have stayed at many hotels having furniture that while stylish and attractive, is not comfortable. We did not find that to be a problem with any of The Edgewater furniture in the room or public areas. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Well prepared and presented by a thoughtful and caring staff. From now on, anytime we come to Seattle, The Edgewater is where we will stay!

Room Tip: Get a room with a water view. The harbor always has something going on.

On all counts, the Edgewater is a great choice in Seattle -for

LOCATION - situated on the waterfront with a gorgeous view of the Cascades and the harbour, the Edgewater is conveniently located for easy strolls to Pike's Market, the Seattle Center, the Aquarium and the retail district
AMBIANCE - the hotel exudes a rustic, woodsy Northwest charm as a roaring outdoor fire greets you upon arrival, a nice touch - inside the decor continues the theme. The rooms are adequate, even if you haven't treated yourself to a waterfront suite
DINING - scrumpitous and sumptious cooked breakfasts are included in the room rate and lunches and dinners are delicious as well
SERVICE - friendly, accomodating and flexible. I had some outrageous local telephone charges which the manager kindly removed from my bill after explaining that the telephone carrier automatically added them on

I can't think of a single reason why you would want to stay anyplace else in Seattle

Room Tip: harborside are the best if you want to pay for them

We had a fabulous King Room with a fireplace, claw footed tub, giant walk-in shower and a great view of the water.
Comfortable chairs by the fire.
Bed was amazing, as was the entire bathroom.
The staff was top notch. They all went out of his or her way to be helpful.
We checked in early & out late. They kept our luggage until our flight(5pm).
They also arranged for a car service to pick us up & take us to SEATAC airport- only $40 plus tip.
We were actually lucky enough to split it with another couple going there at the same time !
They have a shuttle van that runs on the hour to the waterfront and downtown- all day and early evening. Drop off and pick-up also (if you call 10-15 minutes ahead).
Desk had the number for a terrific pizza place that delivers….pizza snacking in bed anyone ?? :)
The lobby and sitting room area were terrific. Lots of cozy ambiance.
Stylishly decorated. (Not over done or gaudy).
The breakfast in the restaurant was sensational, as was our waiter.
I have never felt such "love" for bacon before in my life !!
The coffee was tasty, hot & strong. Is there any other choice in life?
It was a wonderful experience and we hope to go back again soon.

Room Tip: If there is a water view available, go for it !

Pleasant stay, right on the bay, though we had a city view room. Not as dated as some other reviewers stated. I purchased via Priceline (without knowing which hotel I was going to get) so I got a good price, and good value for the money. The rooms were on the small side. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again (at the right price). It is a few minutes away from downtown, about 20-25 minute walk or a $10 cab ride.
