I was put on the first floor right on the water the view was beautiful. The room was very nice and the staff very courteous. I loved it! I did not have the opportunity or need to use either the pool or the spa so I do not feel comfortable reviewing them.

Room Tip: First floor on the water side is great!!

Simply amazing! Service was spectacular from front desk (upgraded room before we got there), to bar (great views and food), to housekeeping (brought more towels, brought vase for flowers we purchased at the Market). It is close to everything you could want to see in Seattle, plus they have a free shuttle to Space Needle or Pike's Place Market or derris wheel; what ever you need! It is a short walk to the market and a Target is one block up the street from the market if you need anything (including wine) :)
I look forward to coming back and staying here soon!!!

The lobby/sitting area is spectacular. The view from our room almost as good. It feels like you are on a boat in the middle if a harbor. One of the best we have stayed at. And definitely the best under $200 parking tho is outrageous at $39.00.

We reserved a room with a view and upon check-in the staff asked which floor we preferred, suggesting the 4th and it was the best of enjoyable views. The staff were friendly and helpful from the valet to maid. The room was clean and up to date with a great fireplace and awesome shower; the bed was too soft (if that can be a complaint?) And something the hotel can't prevent, so it isn't against them, but I would've found it helpful to read prior to booking is about the seagulls.. It couldve been that we were on the top floor and the roof of decks on the subsequent floors below us provided a great ledge for the seagulls to perch on and beginning at 3am through out the entire morning they were loud and noisy, resulting in the need for alot of coffee the next day, but overall this is one of the better hotels we have stayed at.. Ever!

We're so glad to have welcomed you and to hear that our signature hospitality exceeded the mark during this visit and that the experience was overall enjoyable. Our apologies for the seagulls--one of the more unfortunate perks of our waterfront site--but we hope they weren't too much a nuisance and that you'll reach out to us again and afford us the chance to showcase some of the other rooms that are more apt to offer the quiet you crave. All our best, and many thanks for this kind review.

My husband and I had our wedding in the Edgewater ballroom last spring and had quite a rollercoaster experience which is not something you want during your wedding day. My biggest complaints with the Edgewater were their lack of attention to detail, their unwillingness to come to a mutual agreement, and lack of care.

We selected the Edgewater because of the amazing location - right on the water in the heart of downtown Seattle. This cannot be beat and the view is gorgeous. But the coordinator that we had originally signed with left half way through our planning process. The other coordinator who took over had no knowledge of anything we discussed with the previous coordinator, and it was clear from the beginning that she was not willing to meet us halfway on anything that we'd been told "yeah sure that can be done" while we were in the contracting phase. It was not very professional of the venue to say things could be done, and then once we signed the contract say "no actually you can't do that".

The day of the wedding was stressful. We had pre-ordered lunch the week before for the bridal party only to find out THE MORNING OF that we could not have the food we ordered. We had to pick a few small appetizers to order that day.

My mom had shown our coordinator how she wanted the napkins and everything set on the table. When she went to go check on it, they were all wrong and she ended up having to set them herself.

The Edgewater had given me a layout of the ballroom with the tables plotted and asked me to set up the seating chart. I spent a lot of time on it and sent it to them a week in advance. On the day of the wedding, the tables were completely wrong and nobody noticed it until we sat down to dinner. My dad ended up sitting in a corner on his daughter's wedding day because of the mistake- a once in a lifetime experience, and it was unacceptable.

We ordered steaks and salmon with crab for our guests. The steaks were raw (bright red). Some of our guests had to send them back. The salmon had a few little pieces of crab. We had been so impressed with the food when we went for the tasting but we were not that impressed the night of the wedding. I do have to say the servers were great with accommodating people asking to have their steak cooked more.

Our night of the wedding "suite" which came in our contract was actually just the same room I had stayed in before. Not special and a small room with a slight view of the water.

In the end the venue apologized, but the entire experience was a nightmare. It is about you and your husband getting married, and I'm so glad that at the time we were able to brush things off and focus on the important things. But you really shouldn't have to do this - the venue should not be an added stress.

I would not recommend having your wedding here unless you get everything in writing before you sign the contract. For how much we paid, I would've expected much better service, attention to detail and care.

We apologize profusely again for any misunderstandings with the verbal communications between our former Catering Manager and yourself and for the inconveniences this may have caused in the services you received. We are disheartened to read this a year following the event of your daughter’s wedding, as we had spoken several times since and have since come to an agreement of compensation regarding any inconveniences. While we're unable to change this atypical and unfortunate past, we are truly sorry, and we wish you and your family all our best.
