This is a good hotel which is better than a four star but does not have the polish of a five star. I would return.

The Good:
- Free internet – excellent
- We got a bed and breakfast rate for $170 a night which would thought was good
- Lovely rooms (4 star not 5!) – we had an open fire with a beautiful bath and ocean view
- Staff were genuinely positive and tried to help with out 2 year old
- Lovely gift shop that sells the essentials and a decent cup of coffee
- Valet and concierge were always helpful

The Bad :
- The car parking is SO expensive at $40 plus with tax and tip (we only hired a car for the last two days and used the light rail to get close to the hotel from airport and then walked last the fifteen minutes)
- Limited gym (converted room) and no pool though you can dive out of your window into the ocean!
- Did I mention the car parking cost.....
- A house keeping supervisor burst into our room without knocking ten minutes after we arrived
- Fairly expensive food
- We overheard some stern exchanges between staff and supervisors three times which was uncomfortable
- If travelling with children, avoid second floor as the bridge across reception has posts that are positioned far enough apart for a small child to fall between the posts and tumble 15 feet to reception!

This is a good hotel for the price, just watch the parking cost!

Room Tip: It is worth paying extra for the ocean view rooms. Breakfast goes to 11am so if you are on vacation...

Beautiful hotel on the water right Downtown in Seattle. Walking distance to a lot of attractions. The fireplace in the room was fantastic, nothing better to fall asleep to at night. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay here with my family. Staff and facility are top notch. Felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. Lots of history to this facility and yet tastefully updated and well maintained. Will say you as a guest you need to be prepared for the sights and sounds of the location including but not limited to creaking docks, pesky seagulls, freight trains throughout the day and night. They do a fairly good job of insulating these sounds out as long as you are not one to sleep with the sliding door open for fresh air:) you should definitely come enjoy this hotel

Great service, food, and location! The shuttle saved me from renting a car and the staff had lots of info for enjoying the best of Seattle. I enjoyed the hotel restaurant. A fireplace made the room and the water view and balcony made the stay perfect.

Room Tip: It is worth the extra exp to get a balcony and a water/city view.

We drove up from Portland for the night. Our room was spectacular as was the view of Puget Sound. I woke up looking at Mt. Rainier. The staff members were great and the restaurant was outstanding too. We liked the hotel so much we stayed for a 2nd night.

Room Tip: We had booked a standard king with a water view. They upgraded us when we checked in. Our room was...

The hotel itself was fine in all respects except for the astronomically high parking charge. When was the last time you had to pay US$ 50 per night to park your vehicle (US$ 39 for parking, US$ 8 for tax and $ 3 tip) ? Ridiculous and unable to justify so no repeat performance from my stand-point.

Room Tip: If the additional rate for ocean-view is not an issue choose this option, otherwise be happy with th...

We're sorry to hear that our parking fee came as a surprise to you, as we try to be as transparent with this as possible, and we maintain a highly competitive rate with others in our area. In spite of this, we hope that your visit was an enjoyable one and that you found comfort in our services and hospitality. We'd certainly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further regarding these or any other concerns, and we encourage you to reach out again sometime.
