My wife and I stayed at the Edgewater Hotel in September for a night before moving from Seattle. What a great way to spend our last night in this great city. When we checked in we were warmly welcomed at the desk by Cayla (I hope this was her name). When we told her our story about moving and this being our last night in the city she was determined to make it a great stay. She upgraded us to a room with a water view and gave us drink coupons for the lounge. We were both touched by this had a great night there. This hotel has such great atmosphere throughout it, you won't be disappointed if you decide to stay there. It is a great a great location and easy to get to any downtown destination. When we come back to visit this is where we will stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the water, great views of the mountains!

Within walking distance to Pikes Market and all waterfront activities. We had a family suite with city view, it was clean and comfortable.. The room had a full couch and two chairs in front of the fireplace, which kept the room warm. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful, great hot water and water pressure in the shower. The beds were very comfortable, not stiff like other hotels. The hotel is across the street from train tracks, but I really didn't hear any trains in the middle of the night. There are complimentary ear plugs on the bedside table if needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle that dropped us off at the Key Arena for a concert, after the concert we walked back to the hotel which only took 10 minutes. We did have brunch at the restaurant, it was good but bland. The service was great and the view from our table of the water was fantastic. Overall, this is a great place and we will be returning for a longer stay in the future.

Room Tip: Family suite, city view was spacious and didn't cost as much as the Waterfront regular rooms.

Kyle at the valet was a boss....super nice..super informative...he was the best. All the staff was really friendly and really on top of customer service. The view is ridiculous!!! The sound is breathtaking...
However they need to fix the inter where you don't get charged a million times every single time you log in on a different device...that's dumb and antiquated

Room Tip: get one on the water but it can be chilly...foot stools by the fire place are awesome...and hilariou...

Expensive water view rooms may actually face the brightly lit pier or look directly into a cruise ship, leaving little area to actually see the sound. Rooms quite dark and dated, not particularly clean. Meeting planner that was to have arranged for special meals for our guests failed miserably. Service staff helpful but totally unprepared to handle special meal needs due to food allergies. Would not stay here again, very over priced for the atmosphere and furnishings. Sales director particularly unhelpful, did not honor meeting rate for days following as originally promised. Not only that but they tripled the price of our room. Several of us simply moved down the street a few blocks for half the rate, and a much nicer room.
Front desk staff very nice and the servers at our meetings were nice, but could not get us any water, only soda. Seemed very odd. They nickel and dime you to death at every turn, parking rates twice what they are across the street about 30 yards away.
Much nicer places to stay for your dollar.

Room Tip: Be sure to specify, though they are not bound to honor your requests, that if you pay for a more exp...

Dear AuntiefromColorado,

I was surprised to read your comments about your stay. Particularly about your meeting experience. I have spoken with all of our Sales Managers and Banquet Service Managers and the issues you brought up were not brought to their attention from what I have gathered. I would love to get more details from you. We pride ourselves in making special arrangements for requests on dietary needs from vegan, allergy, gluten, kosher… there hasn’t been an issue yet that we were unable to make arrangements to accommodate dietary needs. I am also curious to know more about your frustrations with meeting rates outside the block. Also, as far as I am aware, we serve water in every meeting and meal period in the hotel, I would like to know who gave you that mis-information.

Again, I would really love to speak with you about your experience because it does concern me that your stay was not enjoyable and that so many issues arose during your trip. I truly look forward to hearing from you. Please accept my sincerest apologies,

Troy Byington – tbyington@edgewaterhotel.com

We spent 6 nights here in October, and after overcoming my initial reluctance to book this hotel, and the poor impression given by the poorly lit corridors, we actually enjoyed the stay. We had a junior suite on the top floor, with a view towards the ferry terminal and Mt. Rainier and over Puget Sound. We were irritated by the limited weekend brunch menu, as on Saturday we wanted lunch and on Sunday a more simple breakfast. However, the menu became more standard for the rest of the week, and the food was consistently good. The staff were all great, and the experience was much better than I had feared.

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights for a business meeting. We also had the 'catered' breakfast and lunch.

The hotel is actually built over the water. If you can, get a room... more expensive... that looks over the water instead of the driveway and road/train track side. I didn't have one, but I think it would be worth it.

The rooms are cozy, but clean, comfy and unique. The only thing i thought was negative, was the rock floored floor in the bathroom. it is a bit hard on bare feet and cold. The bathroom itself was cold, and could use an infrared heater on chilly mornings. The toiletries were of high quality, as were the finishings.

If you drive, be warned of a significant valet parking>

The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It was about a $45 taxi ride from the airport.

We stayed here one night for our one year anniversary and loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was outstanding. We had a great dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel and sat out on the deck overlooking he water. It was within waking distance to a great street filled with bars and pike's market. We loved it!
