Reviewed May 10, 2011

I am a heavy traveler who takes 20+ trips per year, all for pleasure, none for business. I must say this was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the small touches like free newspapers, the under-cabinet nite-lite in the bathroom, comfy bathrobes, and the Tivoli alarm/radio were fantastic. Most luxury hotels provide upscale toiletries and a superb minibar, but the Andra seemed to go beyond this with extra comfy goosedown pillows and a really wonderful mattress! I slept like a baby! And the common areas like the lounge downstairs and the fireplace are really comfortable and make you want to come back to the hotel to hang out! Lola Restaurant is attached and Dahlia Lounge and Serious Pie (BEST brick oven pizza) are across the streeet, plus the reasonable parking next door make this place perfect! The price was also VERY reasonable, about 30% cheaper than comparable hotels nearby in the same district. Staff was extra friendly and helpful and gave us free wifi access. I am definitely recommending this hotel and my mother (who stayed with me) has already decided to come back on her next trip to Seattle.

The Andra was comparable in location/style to several Kimpton properties in Seattle but better priced. Four restaurants within eyesight of the front door + more within blocks = very convenient. The staff were very helpful when Seattle was hit by a rare snowstorm and we had to do some juggling of our reservations. We stayed twice over a 10-day period and the first room was pretty snug and on a noisy street, but the second was much roomier and quieter.

Dear KateKirk,

I truly appreciate the time you took to write such a generous review of your experience at the hotel. I have always said we are in the heart of the best food block in Seattle. Within steps of the hotel there is a great pizza spot and the best Italian, Greek, and seafood restaurants you can find in the city. I am also glad to read that the second room was a little more comfy for you. Please come back and see us anytime.

Hotel Andra was recommended by a close friend in 2005 - our stay at that time was just wonderful. Six years later we are back at the Andra... and it is just as good as it was in 2005. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with trendy modern furnishings. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant 'Lola' is a great place for brunch on the weekend (breakfast during the weekend is good too!). There are so many great restaurants in the local area within close walking distance. If you prefer to stay close, gives Lola's a go for dinner - you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Downtown location close to Pike Markets.

Recently went to Seattle for a business trip. Co-workers suggested staying at Hotel Andra and I couldn't have been more happier with my stay. For business purposes, the hotel was conveniently located and the staff and rooms were wonderful. Hotel Andra offers free wi-fi for all guests so it was very convenient for me to check emails when necessary. During non-working hours, the hotel was walking distance from the waterfront, Pike's Place, and three Tom Douglas restaurants - one being Lola located in the lobby (if you are a foodie!). Next time you are in Seattle, I strongly suggest staying at this boutique hotel.

Was here for business, but also a bit of sightseeing. The location of the hotel was perfect for both. Very close to the light rail for easy and cheap transportation to/from the airport, close to Pike's Peak and countless and varied eating options. Room was very large.

Uber, hip boutique hotel. Great lobby and even better restaurant. There are four words to describe Seattle. The first two is Pikes Place, the other two is Tom Douglas. If you stayed here, you would be able to access some of the best, if not all the best dining establishments--on foot. Everything from Mac and cheese at Beechers to sea food at Ettas, peanut butter cookies at Dahlias, pizza at Serious Pie and drinks at Lolas. All within a 10 minute walk from The Andra. Like they say in Seattle, NIRVANA.

Dear RiaMiller,

We truly thank you for the taking the time to write a review about your visit to the Hotel Ändra. You hit the nail right on the head about the Pike Place Market and Tom Douglas restaurants. Thankfully due to our location you do not have to travel very far for either. Tom Douglas is right in our lobby and the Pike Place Market is just over the hill.

Everything was first rate from start to finish. Initially, what drew me to the hotel was the location and affordability. The service was outstanding, and the location of the hotel made it very easy to hit all the spots my family and I wanted to see. If I ever decide to travel back out to Seattle, the first thing I will do is book a room at this hotel.
