Reviewed October 31, 2013

just spent a week at the Sheraton, overall is was nice. it is not outstanding. the room was fine, the bar was fine and the lobby was fine but in the age of upscale hotels, this one seems just okay. in the under two hundred dollar range, i would say it is a really good hotel but in the $295 per night range, i expected more. this is not a ritz carlton or in my opinion, i would rather stay in a westin or four seasons.

First, I should mention that we got our room through Priceline. I am not sure of the going rate if you were to just walk in or book on Expedia. But we got a rate from Priceline that was about what you would pay for a lesser hotel like a Days Inn.

The room was much better than expected. The service was accommodating and top-notch. We weren't put in some skanky room reserved for Priceline guests and our request for a certain floor was happily met.

The location really cannot be beat if you want to walk the city. It is centrally located and everything is within walking distance. We walked to Capital Hill for dinner, to the stadium for a game, to the market and to the waterfront. We had our car but did not need to use it.
The parking at the hotel is ridiculously expensive (as with all Seattle hotels), but with a little driving around, you might find free street parking like we did. Try on the other side of the Convention Center.

Our room was clean and comfortable and up-to-date. We were happy.
Downsides? Paying for internet in the room and the taffeta bedspread (looked nice but made so much noise anytime someone moved).

I stayed at the Sheraton on a 5 day business trip to Seattle.
It is clean and the staff are courteous. There are new rooms in one block but unfortunately I was in the older rooms. These were fine but a bit tired.
The food was OK. I was with a big corporate function so I am guessing I didn't see the best of it.

Room Tip: Get a room in the newer part of the hotel.

This was the second time that I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel while attending a conference at the Seattle Conference Center across the street. The decor is bland but between my room being so quiet and my bed uber comfortable I slept like a log. The shower had the best water pressure that I have had in a hotel in years! The concierge was able to recommend excellent restaurants nearby. They offered the option of forgoing room cleaning and in return you could earn an extra 500 Starwood points a night.

Nice hotel with friendly stuff and fantastic views. The room and the bathroom doors need, however, an update. They ruin the room esthetics. There was a complimentary delicious hot chocolate and a hot apple cider in the lobby which was great after a typical rainy day in Seattle. The down side was the parking. Sheraton offers only valet parking which is about 50$ incl. tax. There is no self-parking. For this reason I would choose the Westin which has a self-parking option for $25 and is also nice and a bit more updated.

Room Tip: the higher you are the better view you get.

Thank you for your review regarding your experience with us. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention regarding the restroom door and parking rates. I have shared your guest room experience comments with our designer. We do have two towers one of which has fogged glass doors with dark mahogany finished wood surrounding and the other an solid core door. As much as we would like to provide a self parking option we unfortunately do not have enough spaces available to be able to do so. The valet parking rates are comprised of a 22% city tax and remain competitive in the local area and major metropolitan cities at $46. If you are in the area again, I would be happy to assist you in locating nearby parking at a rate that works within your budget.
Once again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your comments with us.

Stayed at the Sheraton Seattle in June of 2013, hotel is top notch, in a great locations with shops, restaurants, movie theatres. Walking distance to Pikes market and the space needle, which wasn't that exciting but you gotta see it if you are in Seattle. Would highlt reccomend this hotel.

While the lobby and common areas have been redone, the rooms haven't. I also found it nearly impossible to plug in my laptop as none of the lamps have outlets (which are now common in other hotels). I had to get on the floor and go under the desk to find a spare outlet!
