“Pathetic internet connection”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

I stayed in Sheraton Seattle during the first week of Feb 2013. Almost everything was nice except for the internet connection.
Most of the times, I struggled with the connectivity. When I got connectivity, the browsing speed was pathetic. I tried wireless as well as wired connection, even changed my room as per the suggestion from IT helpdesk.
IT helpdesk staff was friendly, but could not resolve the issue even after being on call for about 3 hours.

Room Tip: Avoid higher floor. They seem to have different internet connections for different floor levels. The...

Business trip stay here, to attend convention at center which is literally one block away. Great location for anyone doing the same. Good meeting room areas; we had an evening meeting with a buffet meal served by the hotel, and the food was extremely good. Much better than most hotel meeting food, with a very helpful server called John who was charming. Bedrooms good size and beds extremely comfortable. Clean bathrooms and decent towels/toiletries etc. Great app available to control TV from iphone! Liked the bar very much, it was a nice open area, lots of different seating choices, with great local beer selection. You could also use this area in the day as a quiet location for computer work etc and it had lots of power spots to plug in. Recommend as a great location to hold a meeting and see the city

Room Tip: Its a triangle shape, so you dont really have any bad sides!

This Sheraton Hotel is in the heart of the Seattle retail area. You can conveniently walk about in this area and feel safe. It's also close to various restaurants, live entertainment, and the Fish Market (a few walking blocks away). Rooms were nice and the lobby was nice. Staff were friendly and efficient. The Sheraton met our expectations and the cost of the room was reasonable. The parking however was very expensive. I highly recommend this hotel.

You may choose, as we did in March 2013, to stay in this fairly high-priced and ordinary hotel. It has a convenient location next to the convention center and is close to the fun of downtown Seattle. Our room was quiet with comfortable beds and furniture. It was clean and well kept for the most part. A sewage backup into our bathtub was not a pleasant feature, but was probably a fluke. The "green" elective to forego housekeeping unfortunately resulted in us not receiving housekeeping ANY of our 5 days at the hotel, although we only wanted to forego housekeeping two of the days. When this resulted in our room running out of supplies, it took 20-30 minutes for staff to arrive with towels, and they did not brought other items to stock our room (soap, coffee, etc). Some of the staff were excellent (a hat tip to the sandy haired bartender in the lobby bar) and others were nonchalant and disinterested. The lobby was a good place to meet friends, and there was free wifi. The hotel restaurant and bar both served some tasty food... crab cake sliders were a hit with our group, and the ahi tuna salad was also good. The front desk seemed disorganized and made errors twice with our reservation, which they corrected when we complained.

Room Tip: There are two towers of hotel rooms, so if you are traveling with friends make sure you are in the s...

Thank you for choosing the Sheraton Seattle Hotel for your recent visit to this amazing city. We are so delighted to hear that you explored the city and found our location to be a nice hub to all that Seattle has to offer. Thank you for your comments regarding our relaxing and comfortable Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds and the quiet nights rest you received. I have shared your feedback for the Daily Grill with their team and they are pleased to hear you loved the cuisine. Thank you for your other insights as well with our Make a Green Choice program and the delivery of additional items by our housekeeping staff, we will look into more advanced training on areas to clean in the guestrooms and to clearly communicate the program during check in, you could have had your room serviced on the days you wanted by utilizing your door hanger on your bed. Additionally, thank you for the feedback about our Front Desk, I have shared it with our Director of Front Office so that he may continue to work through training with our Front Desk Agents. Thank you again for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

This place has 1) a great Thanksgiving diner, 2) located in easy walking distance to all the downtown stores, restaurants, and bars. 3) One block from the fireworks and festivities of opening Christmas season. 4) Shop till you drop then walk to your hotel for a good nights sleep.

Room Tip: If you want to spend a couple more dollars the club floor is the best.

Having been to Seattle twice before we wanted to stay more central and this was ideal. A large hotel which although it turns out used by the cruise lines did not seem crowded. Had a clean, well equpped comfortable room on a high floor. The concierge were helpful and most staff were friendly. I did however have trouble booking the hotel, it showed no rooms on the hotel website and they said they were full when I called reservations? However it showed availability on a travel site, so had to book through them and although told at checkin I would get my SPG POINTS was told at Check out I wouldn't because I had booked through Expedia, so not too happy about that! I did explain it was the only way I was able to book a room with them but they weren't bothered!! Got charged to park the motorbike overnight!!!

I visit Seattle several times a year to visit my son who is at UW. I have tried the other Starwood properties in Seattle including the W and Westin and I was quite surprised that Sheraton just does a better job, especially for Platinum guests. I have always been provided an upgrade to a suite, this latest one was a huge place triple-to-quadrruple the size of a regular room with dining table, living room, kitchenette, tons of free water bottles, Italian water, a fruit basket, and a picture book about Seattle. I am almost embarrassed to be treated so well considering the low cost of the room. It is located conveniently right off I5, you can't miss it. Valet is very efficient and a good value considering what you get at other hotels in the area.

Room Tip: They are all good rooms, that's just one of the many things that makes this place so good.
