“For unpretending people”

Despite the negative reports I see on Tripadvisor concerning this hotel, I can confirm that we were satisfied by the room and the breakfast. Maybe we were lucky because the weather allowed us to keep the very noisy air conditioning off, however the room was large with two comfortable queen beds, and cleanliness enough. It's true that it looks like a motel, but the average level is not to be despised. The favorable position close to Space Needle and Monorail probably allow them to ask for more money than what normally should be.

This hotel can be found for a decent price on occasion. When I was there we paid much less than the $200 rates I see out there now. For close to $100, it is worth staying at. If you are paying near or above $200, you will be disappointed.

The pool has been closed for quite some time, as of June 2014. I am not sure if it really is going to open again.

We used this hotel as a base for staying in the area to sightsee for four days. We came on the train. This was a great location for the Space Needle and having the monorail so close brought us to the Westlake Center. This means we could easily walk to Columbia Center, Pike Place, Seattle Aquarium, Chinatown, etc.

The breakfast was not bad and there was an overflow breakfast room for when it was crowded.

The front desk had plenty of samples if you forgot something.

Elevators were very slow. Property was dated. If you are used to newer places, you will not be happy. We were not in the room much but it didn't seem terribly small to me. Air conditioning was very loud as another review posted.

I would stay here again for the right price.

Traveling group consisted of Senior Citizens, Mid aged person, and a teenager.

I stay in the city about 6-8 times/month for work. All my usual haunts were full and I reserved this place for an expensive $300/night. I would have been fine with the tired no-frills room if this were a $69/night motel, but because of the price was very disappointed from a value standpoint. It's basically a Motel 6 with breakfast. No closet, very small room with small TV on the only piece of furnature that will fit shoved in the corner. Poorly designed bathroom with old fixtures and cracked tile, threadbare towels. You get the picture. I didn't feel unsafe or unclean, but I did feel ripped off. Don't be fooled by online pictures of remodeled lobby - you don't sleep in the lobby. I would never stay here again unless the rate was less than $100.

I stayed in a room with two queen size beds and a small kitchen. The beds have very small pillows they are like what you use for couches. But the beds are comfortable and don't hurt your back. Also, when I stayed here my family and I discovered baby ants in our room. Very gross! The wifi here has very poor connection and is very slow. But some of the pluses here is that they offer laundry for $1.75 which isn't to bad. And they serve breakfast here which isn't the greatest. This hotel is in a good location because you are right in downtown, but the cleanliness of the hotel isn't great. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The only two things that recommend this hotel is price and proximity to the Space Needle. Room was the smallest I ever had in a US hotel. One had to twist and turn to move about. Only one chair. AC window unit was LOUD and kept us awake. Breakfast was hot and OK. Free wi-fi and two computers available in lobby.Helpful staff. Noticed many bus groups use the hotel.

Room Tip: Want a good room? Don't stay here.

Stayed here and found location is central to city centre. Only problem our room faced busy highway and found it hard to sleep at night. Also rooms a little out dated but still comfortable and clean. Breakfast was acceptable. Front reception need training in customer service as they fail badly to follow instructions as I needed Manager to sort out an issue. Overall satisfied and would recommend to the traveller who is on a budget, good location and not after anything fancy.

Although the room accommodations are small, and the pool was closed for renovation, there were enough positives that I would stay here again. The breakfast is good, and the staff is extremely helpful. The fitness center is very good and the wifi worked great while we were there. As far as location, the hotel is about a half of a mile from the nearest light rail station, and a block from a main bus line. The Space Needle and Seattle Center are very close. Downtown shopping at the Westlake area is also about a half of a mile away. The Pike Place Market and waterfront are about 20 minutes away on foot.
