My husband and I stayed at the Renaissance on our first trip to Seattle. The hotel finished the remodeling and looks great! The staff was very friendly and helpful! We got a city view room on the 14th floor and loved it! Very modern decor, plasma TV, in room fridge, large bathroom, comfy bed! Great location! Within walking distance to everything or a free downtown shuttle right outside of the hotel. We will stay here again the next time we visit Seattle! Plus, you can't beat the $69/night rate we got on hotwire!

Stayed here while on a trip to Seattle to see Lion King at Paramount Theater. Great rate on Hotwire - so, we didn't know what the hotel was until we paid. Because we got such a good rate ($79!), the high price (but probably typical for Seattle) for parking and the $11.95 per day internet wasn't too bad. Seattle library is close by, so you can get free internet there. Nice bar/restaurant on top floor with great views and reasonable prices. Our room was on the I-5 side, 7th floor, which was a little noisy, but it was steady hum, so not bad. Would rather have that than stop and go city street noise. Friendly staff helped us figure out how to take the bus to the theater. Parking is under the hotel, so good security.

Great service in all areas, comfortable room, helpful front desk clerks who were friendly and courteous. Restaurant staff and room service were tops.

Great location right off the 5. The service was excellent...as far as service goes, they totally live up to the Marriot name. They accommodated my request to check in really early, to check out late and to have a room not facing the 5. The room was fine, except the bathroom was a little shabby. We were right by the elevators and it was just way too noisy to me. I could hear everyone coming and going, doors slamming, housekeeping and the TV in the room next door. The worst part was the parking. They charge $28 a night, and then sneak on a $5 "parking tax". So you pay $33 a night...

As far as the walking...You can easily walk to many places, like Tulio down the street, but it is on a hill and if you want to go to Pike's Market, be prepared for a hellish hike back.

We stayed at this hotel for a mariners game. At check-in staff was very nice and helpful. We got to our room which was a king room on the 25 th floor. It was clean big and comfy. The only minus was the bathroom door. It wasn't very private. The bed was extremely soft. Also, room service came right on time. Food was pretty good. Pool was small but the water was warm. Overall it was okay but I suggest replacing their bathroom doors.

Average hotel with good views from higher rooms. Incredible charges for internet though plus very basic and expensive business service room. Easy downhill walk into Seattle bit of a trek up hill out though.

Highly recommend having a drink in top floor bar, has excellent views of seattle and sunset.

This was a very special stay. Never have I had a hotel drop a warm beverage with the wake up call. Staff was very attentive and the restaurant on the top floor was wonderful! Was here for a meeting that was sensational because of the food and service.
