“Top Notch Service in Seattle”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

I just competed a conference at the Renaissance. From the moment I arrived until the minute I left, our group received outstanding service. Great staff, great food, lovely comfortable rooms, friendly service! I highly recommend this property to any meeting professionals, and to any leisure travelers. A truly wonderful experience!! Pike Place Market is about an 11 minute walk, and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, etc. all around.

I truly appreciate your feedback and hope we see you back with another program real soon.

Just returned from a stay at this hotel and must say that we found it quite pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the room was extremely quiet even though we were close to the freeway. It is a bit of a distance downtown but since the weather was glorious... It was a very enjoyable walk. Note though that there is no longer free bus service offered downtown.
There is a lovely bar on the 28th floor that offers a stunning view of the city and if you plan it right ... A stunning sunset.
Only complaint was the slow service as there was only one bartender mixing drinks. The server did come over to explain the delay which was appreciated.
Booked this hotel on Priceline and got a great deal but there were not any king beds available so we had to make do with two double beds. (Was not a problem). Parking is $30/day but there is a $6.80 tax added to this. Nice thing though is you can leave your car there for the entire day after you check out if you want to do a bit more shopping.

Thank you for staying with us and for your comments.
Im happy that you enjoyed the hotel, especially the rooftop bar.
I am sorry that the service was a bit slow but I am sure the view did make up for it.
Please come back real soon.

We stayed just for one night in Seattle after our 5 day trip to Victoria BC. We wanted a hotel that was downtown, close to Pikes Market. Staff was very friendly and helpful, valet and doormen prompt and excellent, room was clean, bed was comfortable, excellent amenities and never a long wait for the elevator considering we were on the 24th floor. A bit of a walk to the waterfront, but you could find streets that were a little less steep than others. Got the room on Priceline for a great price, would stay here again.

We stayed at the Renaissance for three nights. While the location is a bit "above" the waterfront (i.e., six blocks uphill), it was a great place to stay. Almost everything that we wanted to see was within walking (or monorail riding) distance. You could catch the free bus right in front of the hotel and that would take you to most places that tourists want to see. We were surrounded by great restaurants (yes, within walking distance) at all price ranges. The concierge staff was awesome! They listened to our desires, suggested alternatives when appropriate and we always were pleased with the advice that they gave. The breakfasts were wonderful...you could get less or more...everything was available. The accomodations were quite nice and very comfortable. And you could certainly get your exercise both before and after eating your way through Seattle!!!

Room Tip: There is the most noise (Interstate 5) on the "front" of the hotel. I would ask for a roo...

Rooms are small and old, uncomfortable bed that made my back sore, food in lounge was ok, water was slow out of the shower-but nice rooftop view from lounge, you still hear from a person for your wake up call, room was prepped per our standards as soon as we checked in which is rare and the best Mac and cheese w/beechers cheese!!!!

Thank you for your comments and for staying with us.
While I am sorry that you felt that our rooms are old, we did renovate them 3 years ago, I do appreciate your comments, especially about our rooftop lounge and our food.
We consistently renovate and upgrade our hotel and will continue to provide great customer service. I hope that you will continue to visit us.

Ended up being placed here after getting the room on Priceline through Name Your Own Price. I was initially worried about the location since it was a bit further from the Pike-Pine action. Though it is a bit of a hike it makes for a nice walk after dinner.

On the service side it was probably the best service I've ever had in a hotel. Our first room -- great view and high up -- had a connecting door and we could hear every word the neighbours were saying (and they weren't being loud). The quickly moved us to another room and apologized for it being lower down -- even though it was a much better room (junior suite) on the freeway side of the hotel. Some people may not like the freeway noise but we're downtown people so it was no big deal.

The Navigator (aka concierge) Lucy was amazing. Lots of great advice and helped us get in for dinner at our favourite restaurant on short notice on a busy Friday night. She's the lead star of many service stars at this hotel.

Don't hesitate to stay here - it's the best I've yet experienced in Seattle (or anywhere).

Room Tip: Corner suites are huge and lovely.

Thank you very much for staying with us and for the great review.
I am pleased to learn that Lucy did a great job and that you did enjoy the rest of our service as well. We are working very hard in providing consistent great service. On your next visit you might want to try out our bar/restaurant on the 28th floor. Beside great views we have great drinks and food.
Again thank you for staying with us and your great comments.

We stayed here one night, but will go back. The front desk staff were great. When we arrived, it was drizzling (when isn't it?) so we asked where we could go without getting wet. The attendant told us, that they have complimentary umbrellas for all customers!! Good to know. She told us Pike Street Market, and the Underground Tours,as most of it is covered, but she also recommended the Boeing Plant and since she wasn't too sure about times etc, suggested we speak to the concierge, which we did. He advised us that as great as it is to see, the weekends are not the best times, as the place is virtually empty. During work times, there are over 20,000 people there and the factory is running. Very helpful, both of them.

I had asked for a room up high and that was provided. We were on the 22nd floor, with great views of the waterfront. It was too bad the weather did not cooperate. We are from Vancouver, so we know the weather is very unpredictable. Overall, even though one night, the stay was fantastic.
