“Charming...”
Reviewed September 6, 2009

My husband and I just returned from Seattle where we stayed at the Mayflower Park for four nights. I was not disappointed. After reading reviews about rooms being small, we made sure to book a deluxe room. It was way more than big enough for us. While our room furnishings were a bit outdated, the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and convenient. The hotel is full of character and charm, and the service was excellent. Our room was very quiet (other than a few blaring sirens from the streets below, but we were staying downtown in a large city, it wasn't unexpected). The well-equipped gym, albeit small, was more than I expected from a hotel this age. The hotel is convenient to public transit, shopping, restaurants, and area attractions. Free wi-fi, a manager's wine reception in Andaluca late Wednesday afternoons, and free appetizers at Oliver's during happy hour are just a few of the extras that made the hotel stand out. The only negatives: small bathroom and waiting for the elevator during peak times. If we return to Seattle, we will definitely look into staying at the Mayflower Park again.

The location of this hotel is great as it is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The deluxe hotel room we stayed in was very spacious. The service was great, too. The bathroom wasn't as spotless clean as a four or five star hotel, but the rest of the room was clean. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Seattle.

We stayed for two nights in August while enroute to a family reunion. This is our 3rd or 4th stay at the Mayflower, and it is a splurge we always enjoy. We buy the valet parking package, as we don't use our car while there and need to park for a couple of days. The hotel has an inviting and pretty lobby, and the staff are consistently helpful and friendly. The rooms are small -- hey, it's an old hotel! -- but they are well appointed and very clean. We requested a move due to street noise and were immediately accomodated. We usually don't eat here as there are more interesting places nearby. But this is a great place to relax and sleep, and sometimes the packages are good deals. The location is very good as well, close to the museums and waterfront. This is our chosen place in Seattle.

We stayed at the Mayflower Park Hotel after our Alaskan Cruise. We stayed one night and flew out the next morning. The room was pretty but very small. We arrived early after getting off the cruise ship so we asked that our luggage be stored while we explored the city. We sat in the lobby for 25 minutes, eyeing our luggage that the staff stacked in a corner, unattended, hoping no one made off with it. No one seemed concerned about unattended luggage and it was totally ignored. I wouldn't leave until I made sure someone actually took the luggage and stored it. After 25 minutes, a bellhop finally came and got our luggage. We were going to go into the mall and ride the monorail but being this early on Sunday morning, the mall doors were still locked (it was about 10:30). So, we had to exit the hotel and walk to the monorail. When we got back, we checked in and our luggage was retrieved. Our room was pretty but nothing special. It actually wasn't much larger than our cabin on the cruise ship. It was comfortable, clean. Late that afternoon, after exploring Seattle, we decided to rest in our room. We looked in the hotel directory and my husband went to find a vending machine so we could enjoy a soft drink. There weren't any to be found. After calling the front desk we discovered the only way to obtain a soft drink was to go to the bar. We thought this was pretty bad for a hotel of this caliber not to have vending machines and force people to buy a soft drink at a high price in the bar. Needless to say, this did not endear us to this hotel. We've stayed at better hotels. Next time we'll stay at the Grand Hyatt.

My daughter and I just spent a few days at the Mayflower and brought along my three month-old granddaughter. I wish to compliment your hotel staff for the fine service, luxurious accommodations and kind consideration we experienced during our visit. We have decided to make this an annual trip for the three of us. When we arrived at the desk we were informed that our guestroom had been upgraded to a suite on the top floor. We had a wonderful, restful visit to Seattle, including time to shop, enjoy some local restaurants and relax in our comfortable, spacious room. The various staff members who made our reservations, parked our car, checked us in, served us wine and snacks at the Andaluca, brought us room service, and prepared such a lovely room are to be commended for their good work. We will certainly return.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Mayflower..excellent location , friendly , helpful check- in staff , clean good sized room and nice complimentary continental breakfast which was unexpected but welcome .Staff in Andaluca restaurant were friendly and attentive to us ,but could be overheard discussing other guests and customers..not very professional ! Overall a memorable stay at an historic hotel with real character and atmosphere.

My Fiancee and I started to plan our wedding and wanted to have it at a hotel, the only problem was we did not want to use standard Hilton, but wanted to find a place that had some charm and style, and on top of that a location that would handle all our wedding needs (planning, scheduling, etc..) we stopped by 3 different hotels in downtown seattle that were recommened by The Knot, two the hotels had the right charm but no customer service, plus they would not handle all our needs. That's when we met Andrew at The Mayflower Park hotel, the moment we met he was so open and friendly. He never said no to any of our question or request and the Hotel had the perfect 1920's style (done right). We decided this was the place to have our wedding, during the whole process Andrew was star, he always responded back to our question / issue ASAP, treated us as if we were his only clients, even though he had 3 other major events scheduled in July. Food was perfect, service was perfect we couldn't of asked for a better location or Hotel. If you are planning a wedding, please check out the Mayflower Park in Downtown Seattle, ask for Andrew and you will not be disappointed.

Thanks again Andrew you made our wedding perfect, Becky told me she could not have dreamed of better wedding.
