What a sad and depressing little place this is. I love to stay in old hotels but this old apartment building has seen better days, and very little – ok, nothing - has been done to improve it. There are no elevators so you take the stairwells to the upper floors, which is fine except that the carpets have apparently never been cleaned so the smell was appalling. The room was teeny tiny with cheap furniture (bed, dresser and a little table with 2 wooden chairs) and unrelentingly drab from the lousy paint job on the walls to the bedcovers and pictures. It smelled a bit too, I think from a slight hint of mold in the window ac unit. I can’t believe how much they charge for this place. I can’t believe I paid it.
On the plus side – there was a clean little kitchen, and the folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful with local directions and suggestions.

Thanks so much for your review. All reviews, positive and negative, are imperative to our providing the quality of guest service for which we strive.

I'm glad to hear that you had a pleasant experience with our staff, and enjoyed the kitchenette amenity in your room.

We are a historic property that does not house en elevator, and we advertise this clearly on all channels. While the historic charm of our property is not for everyone, I believe that you will find from other reviewers that most enjoy the added character that our property provides. If mobility is a concern, we will do our very best to honor ground floor requests.

I hope that you enjoyed your time in Seattle, and hope that you will keep us in mind the next time your travel plans bring you to the Seattle area.

Need a place to rest your head in Seattle that's close to everything? You won't be disappointed with this place. It was a few blocks walk from the Space Needle so we were close to everything we wanted to do.

The only thing people should be aware of (and this sort of thing doesn't bother me at all, but it might bother others) is that it's not very friendly to anyone with mobility issues. Their parking lot is a block & a half away, and there are no elevators to get in. If this is an issue for you, just be prepared!

Otherwise, beautiful atmosphere, loved the garden, there was a kitchenette in our room which was helpful for us to do a bit of our own cooking for breakfasts. Would stay again!

I was really happy with this hotel selection. The location is great, definite value for money and the room itself was nice. It was fairly basic, but as someone who doesn't tend to spend too much time in the hotel room, it was perfect for my needs. Twin room, with ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette which was handy for storing purchases from the nearby supermarket. The location is fantastic. A block from the Space Needle and Center which is conveneient for various places to eat and easy access to the monorail into downtown Seattle. A block in the opposite direction is Queen Anne Ave which is a great little neighborhood with fantastic restaurants, coffee shops etc.

The staff were very helpful. Upon check in the receptionist offered us a room with a view of the Space Needle, or a selection of a room that would be away from the main street and quieter, overlooking the courtyard. Very thoughtful and nice to have the option. Also appreciated the free wifi.

Already planning another trip back and will definitely be staying here again!

- Boutique hotel close to Pacific Science Centre and King Tut exhibit
- Reasonable rates, helpful staff
- No elevators; our unit had a kitchenette which was handy; 2 grocery stores nearby
- Parking lot at the hotel was full but they let us park our car at their nearby sister hotel, the Marqueen, for the same rate
- A few homeless people in the neighbourhood but the area seemed reasonably safe
- 30 minute walk, or short bus ride, to Pike Market and the downtown

Room Tip: If you don't like stairs, choose a room on the ground floor

A friend told us about the Inn at Queen Anne, and we're incredibly thankful to learn of its existence! We have stayed here numerous times while visiting family and friends. It is across the street from the Space Needle, Sci-Fi Museum, Experience the Music Project etc. and a short bus ride (or a nice walk on a pleasant day) to the Pier. Some rooms have views of the needle. The rooms are very European-style - very basic but clean, comfortable and quiet. Wer have stayed in both Summer and Winter and the temperatures have been very comfortable during both seasons (some hotels have a clammy feel during the winter in the Pacific Northwest, but the hotel does a nice job of making the rooms warm and dry.) The staff is always very friendly. There is no restaurant or breakfast included, but just a block over is a slew of excellent restaurants and cafes that highlight the best of the Queen Anne neighborhood. The prices are just shockingly low considering the quality and location. The only downside possibly for some visitors is the lack of elevators - like I said, European-style. But if stairs don't bother you, don't think twice about booking this wonderful little hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the needle to have a great tourist treat!

On arrival, I checked my room top-to-bottom for bedbugs and didn't find any, a miracle for a Seattle hotel. I did a follow-up check of every item that I brought home and nothing. I can overlook all the small stuff because I've heard of many stories of bugs and hotels that handle the situation poorly.

Room Tip: Bring earplugs! Or make sure to get a room that looks out to the inner courtyard. I got a room tha...

Thanks so much for your review. We appreciate your acknowledgement of the impeccable job that our housekeeping staff does. I'm sorry to hear that noise was an issue for you. Feel free to request a courtyard facing room the next time you visit. We do have earplugs available at the front desk for those guests who are particularly noise sensitive. Thanks again, and we hope to see you again soon.

This hotel is in a historic building and therefore there is no elevator and what seemed like no handicapable stairs/ramps, so be forewarned! The location was fantastic...literally steps away from the Seattle Space Park. Bus number 13 stopped right in front of the hotel and just 1 very short block behind (On Queen Anne Road) there were over 7 bus line options to get to downtown. The hotel is what I believed used to be apartments in 2 buildings as the set up reminded me of such. My friend and I shared the 2 double bed room with a decent kitchenette, bathroom and huge walk-in closet! It was quite warm 2 weeks ago, so it was nice to have an air conditioner and ceiling fan! Basic hotel, not fancy schmancy, but worked great. Easy to walk around the area...many restaurants within a block or 2..and to reward yourself for walking up Queen Anne Road, numerous restauarnts on the upper part! The Metropolitan Market on the corner is really nice and catered to everything we needed as far as alcohol (now that Washington has allowed grocery stores to sell alcoholic beverages), bakery, produce, etc.

Room Tip: North side on 2nd building and 2 or 3 rooms in from 1st Ave.
