Stayed for 5 nights, I paid extra for the "higher floor view" (after you book a standard room, you get an "Upgrade Me" email, where you can request an upgrade for a lower price, depending on availability). The view was amazing.

The location is great, and the front desk check-in attendant (I think she might have been Russian) was extremely helpful.

Shuttle buses stop at this hotel (to/from the airport, and tour buses)

The room was well size, modern and clean.

The price was good in comparison to other hotels (such as the Hilton across the road), which is why I booked it. The Subway next door was convenient for a quick snack.

Only complaints:
- No free water bottles at all in the room (but there is a fountain in the lobby).
- A bit noisy - lots of doors closing in the hallway, and I think the stairwell (which was next to my room). I could also hear the toilet flushing in another room.
- The lifts didn't appear to have keycard security. I'm not sure if this is atypical.
- The shower head was a bit too low.

No breakfast included. Had a corner room so the views were pretty good, great sized clean room. Bed was very high off the floor, had to lower myself down from it and I'm 5 foot 3. Room was noisy though, could hear traffic all night and the neighbours not only flushing the toilet, but using it too! Not good at all - needs more soundproofing. Signs re: ice machine location were wrong, even staff didn't know when asked. Staff seemed to be constantly changing so only spoke to them at check in and check out. Liked ice water in reception. Quiet expensive for what and where it was. Very slow elevators. Location was very hilly and steep.

Room tip: Ask for a corner room

Dear Bride2207,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. I am glad you found the room clean and the view good. I apologize we did not meet your expectations. We just recently installed triple-pane window inserts so it was very disappointing to read you heard traffic from our urban location. I will inspect the signage on all the guest floor corridors to ensure the ice machine locations are accurate. There are times we experience high volumes of guest using the elevators during peak times which can slow service down and we regret any inconvenience this caused during your stay. Seattle terrain is hilly (the city is built on seven adjacent hills). Most streets north/south have an easy grade, but east west is a steeper grade. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again.
Sincerely,
Cristy Smith
General Manager

I stay at this Hotel on a regular basis and I am always impressed by the modern comfortable rooms and the super location, central to all the attractions downtown Seattle has to offer. The Pike Place Market is an under 10 minute walk and every fabulous shop and restaurant very close as well. Most important to my stays are the friendly staff lead Mr. Da’Corrie Gay who always goes out of his way to make my stay wonderful! He treats me like family and always spends what ever time and effort to his guests are happy. He is certainly a rising star in the IHG network, and I look forward to each stay at this hotel made much better by him. I highly recommend this hotel in downtown Seattle.

Lovely front desk staff during the day and evening. Night manager was rude and confrontational. He was arrogant and very unpleasant. The day and evening staff were professional and pleasant. Overall staff and services were great.

Well located in downtown Seattle, a short walk or cab to a number of attractions, stores, restaurants. Also near free shuttle to waterfront and Skytrain.

We had a beautiful room on a high floor with a great view of downtown buildings and the harbor. Room was well appointed and clean. Comfortable bed. Nice to have a small fridge to use. Well appointed bathroom.

Great buffet breakfast and they also include made to order omelettes, pancakes or french toast. Wonderful, friendly servers. Nice bar. Food and alcohol specials for afternoon happy hour.

Staff were great. Concierge and front desk staff arranged cabs, gave great restaurant recommendations and did their best to look after guests.

NOTE: The hotel is pet friendly. If you have any allergies to dog or cat hair or dander, notify them in advance and they will make sure your room gets a hypoallergenic cleaning before you arrive to eliminate any problem from previous occupants' pets.
