Coast to coast, East to West South to North the Inn at the Market is tops. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Room was large as well as bathroom. Fifty yards from Pike Place Market. Outstanding staff. Internet wifi connection perfect. Only place to stay in Seattle.

Room Tip: Room location really does not matter.

The hotel was very well positioned, with regards to the downtown area. Close walking distance to the light rail, which we caught from the airport. The room was very clean. The service also great. The only negative was the loud air conditioner. The street noise was minimal. For a first time in the US, it was a great place to start the journey.

Friendly staff. Execellent location in a busy town. We had a room overlooking the sound and the sundown is really something extra. The room was pretty large and the bathroom too!
This is THE place to stay in Seattle.

We loved being at Pike Place Market. The hotel was a gem...including the French bistro downstairs. The croissants for breakfast were amazing.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn on our first visit to Seattle in April so I am a bit late in posting. The hotel is indeed excellent with a spacious room and bathroom; everything you read is true about the staff, location etc. We were originally booked into a city view room, but were offerred a sea view at short notice and took it.
The Seattle waterfront is not the most attractive and doesn't compare with say Victoria, BC. You should be aware that there is a very busy highway that runs along the quayside not too far away. This makes for quite a bit of road noise; open the doors to a small balcony and it isn't pleasant. Access to the waterfront is not easy and involves searching for access under the highway. Some nice restaurants, not including The Pink Door so search around.
If we were to return I would opt for a city view room as better value and probably quieter.

Dear Guest:
I am sorry that you were not given directions on how to get to the waterfront quickly, there is an elevator in the Market that goes directly down to the waterfront, you should be able to get to there within minutes from the hotel. Thank you for visiting us and thank you for sharing.
Best
David Watkins
