It's been a while since I stayed here, and there have been vast improvements. I remember the rooms as dark and small, and now they are airey light and of very good size.
The Front desk manager Mr Orvell was so kind and patient and helpful, not just to me to everyone. The concierge and the bellman also.
The restaurant is great, good selection of food and good coffee, location perfect. I have stayed in many hotels in Seattle over the years and this is definitely the tops for me

Room Tip: rooms with views are just lovely if you can get them, especially looking out onto the Space Needle

Stayed here 4 nights before Alaskan cruise. After reading various reports on TA we were apprehensive at staying here and were not expecting too much as some reviews had said it was nothing to write home about and average. Once we arrived our apprehensions quickly disappeared. After a long haul trans Atlantic flight we were warmly greeted and quickly checked in within minutes. Staff very friendly and helpful. On reaching our room on 12th floor we found we had magnificent view of space needle. We were celebrating my partner's 40th birthday and there was complimentary champagne and macaroon bites in our room on arrival so nice personal touch there. We had got wi-if included in our package from our travel agent and signal was good. Room very spacious and spotlessly clean, coffee/tea making facilities, fully stocked mini bar (if required), fridge, air con, bathroom with full sized bath and shower over bath and full set of toiletries provided. Bed and pillows extremely comfy. No complaints would highly recommend. A massive Thank you to all the staff who contributed to our 4 night stay at the start of our trip of a lifetime.

Room Tip: Request a room with a view of Space Needle - we did

Unusually, most rooms had a small balcony, not wide enough to sit out on but allowed fresh air and a wide view if your room was high enough. We had a corner room which had double aspect windows which was even better. The room was large and clean with comfortable beds (only one of which we used) the en-suite was also clean and fresh.
There was a bar and restaurant attached to which locals had access and was reasonably well used which we took as a good sign. We ate breakfast there each morning which were very good and served at your table. It was a nice change from the usual buffet breakfast.
The monorail ran along the street at the corner but it was a 10 min walk to the terminus and the terminus or the space needle were the only places to get on or off. It cost a dollar to take the 10min monorail ride and was more a fun tourist ride than local public transport.
It was only a 15min walk to Pike Place market and the waterfront on Puget Sound. The walk to the waterfront had to cross the Alaskan Way viaduct and then Alaskan Way, both very busy roads and consequently very noisy.
The only downside of the few days we spent in Seattle was that there were quite a few people 'in reduced circumstances' asking you for money and businesses closed, much more than when we were last in the states about 5 years ago - I guess its the result of the recession.

Room Tip: Corner rooms on higher floors would be quieter and have better views

The hotel was in a good location - about a 15 minute walk to Pike Market and the sea front. We were lucky enough to be on a high floor with a good view and the executive room was a good size with the usual bland corporate feel.

I didn't feel any particular specialness about the hotel - it was fine but the desk staff were a bit curt. The free continental breakfast we had with our deal was very basic - mainly sugary cakes. It is charged at $10 on the menu, but only had a $6.50 value if we wanted to put it towards a cooked breakfast. I wouldn't rush to stay here again, but it wasn't offensive - just middle of the road!

As I was a very late arrival and I had told them I would be late, I was greeted by name which was a very sweet touch. The check in and check out process was very quick and the staff are very friendly. The room is really nice as is the bathroom. The balcony is very narrow but it’s enough to check the weather each day so you know whether it’s cold or not. I was on the 3rd floor so my view was the cinema across the street which has a very, very bright sign. I believe you can see the space needle from higher floors. I used the business centre which was good. It seems to be equal distance between the Space Needle and Pike Place so it was really convenient to walk everywhere. Overall, it was a great experience. Do the duck tour - it's totally worth it!

Room Tip: Try for a higher floor.

Attending a wedding in Seattle, I skipped earning SPG points at the Westin or Sheraton to try the Warwick - and I didn't regret forgoing the points. From my interactions, I can attest that the Warwick staff has been well trained in customer service. The location is excellent - one block from the Moore Theater, within a block of several Tom Douglas restaurants, a couple of blocks from the "subway" you can ride to Pioneer Square. Pike Place Market is a short walk - the Sunday afternoon I was there I quickly realized the Warwick garage was the closest parking space I could get to Pike Place - and also Kress IGA Supermarket, a good place to buy snacks and drinks if you don't want to break the seal on the in-room minibar.

The only drawback to the Warwick is that it doesn't have an ice machine on each floor. I was fortunate to get a room on the 15th floor, which does have an ice machine, but I noticed a sign in the elevator that listed the floors having ice machines - and there were only about four floors on the list.

(The Warwick is a "traditional" hotel, which is the type I prefer... but I mention it only because some in the wedding party opted to stay at the nearby Hyatt Place for its check-in kiosks, 24-hour "deli" in the lobby, and studio-style rooms with separate sitting area.)

Room Tip: If you're going to pick up a case of sodas at the IGA or across the street at Ralph's, you m...
