I really enjoyed my stay here. The bed was so comfortable and the room, while small, was well appointed and very clean. The entire hotel was decorated very eclectically with a Minoan theme. Very cool! The staff was awesome. The location was walking distance from the wharf and other area attractions. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: If a view is important - be sure to specify that.

I stayed at the Hotel Monaco Seattle in July, 2012, with my mother and my daughter. We loved the hotel. The decoration is cool and the staff is very friendly. It is very well located, near many attactions of the city and near the shopping area. We would definitely stay there again!
Amanda Zauli.

Room Tip: Ask for the suite, for three people. It is wonderful!!!

Stayed here for work in June. It is different from the typical chain hotel. The decor is nice and the staff is friendly. They provided some great suggestions for dinner. I would definitely stay here again!

Always a treat! We love the Kimpton hotels. They're consistent in that they are in great locations, give superb service, have yummy restaurants, and wonderful room design. That was certainly the case this time at the Hotel Monaco in Seattle... and warm weather to boot!

Room Tip: We had a suite this time which provided a nice sitting area in addition to the bedroom area. Great...

I thoroughly recommend the Hotel Monaco. It is less than 10 minutes walk from most of the main Seattle downtown landmarks ranging from Pioneer Square to Pike Place market.

The room I had was of generous size and the beds very comfortable. I did have some noise from the plumbing when the room upstairs had their shower but this was not bothersome at all.

Best of all was the Sazerac restaurant which was part of the Hotel. Great service and good food.

Gym is ok with walkers, bikes and some small free weights.

It is a lie that it rains 9 months of the year here, and I always encourage guests to get out and walk anywhere, this location works so well for that purpose and while the health club isn't huge it will work for you on those rainy days, otherwise get out and see the sights!

Stayed here in suites with my peeps for my hen night. Rooms like something out of Dr Seuss, very high on fun atmosphere meter. Close to everything and don't miss their wine welcome. People who parked overnight said price was high.

You know I have been reading these reviews for a long time and never heard the comparison to Dr. Suess! however you are right they are high on the fun meter. The hotel is pretty much located in the center of the city, one guest said "if you can't walk there from here, you shouldn't bother going' not completely true but close to it. Parking is the same rate as you would pay at any of the hotels in the downtown area, and for a little more you know that your car is secure and safe, probably worth the extra $5 bucks. Thanks for a great review!

My boyfriend booked a surprise engagement trip around the states and Canada. Seattle was one of our stops on the trip and boy did this hotel impress. We flew in from San Francisco (having stayed at the equally wonderful Kimpton Argonaut there) and took the new train system from the airport right into town (highly recommended - so easy!). We arrived at the hotel and were immediately checked in a given a free upgrade and a free bottle of Champagne in honour of our engagement! We were also just in time for the wine hour, which was lovely.

The room was immaculate and a nice size. The bathroom was fab - it was great to have large bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body lotion etc, present and restocked every day, unlike most hotels I've been to where they leave you just a little bottle of each.

Conceirge were fantastic - polite, friendly and incredibly helpful. Rachel, in particular, was wonderful.

The wine hour each night was also wonderful - there was live music one night and a magician the next! Fantastic. The hotel restaurant was also great - nice food, friendly bar star and a great aspect and atmosphere. I'd recommend giving it a try even if you're not staying at the hotel.

Location was great too - just a short walk from the waterfront and the downtown shopping district.

All in all I couldn't recommend this hotel more. We were so sad to leave after out few days there! Seattle is, also, a wonderful city. Fab!

I suggest a nationwide Kimpton tour! if you enjoyed the Argonaut on the Wharf in San Francisco, (one of my favs) you would find the other 56 Kimptons to be great fun as well. Wine hour is a special treat and my way of getting to meet the guests, and anytime I run into fans like you, makes my day!
