We bounced around from bed and breakfast to hotel to bed and breakfast, because the rooms were all booked when we were in Skagway. But we managed to get one night here. The rooms are clean and inviting, the owner, Tara, is joyful and accommodating. I had to dash out in the morning to catch a tour, and she was gracious about allowing me to settle my bill later in the day. Breakfast was fine, although would not bring me back there in and of itself. The gardens around the house are full of beautiful perennials and there are covered porches -- good in the rain, although we only had sun. We stayed in the room titled "Dawson," and my only complaint is that the shower-tub is so narrow, about the narrowest I've ever seen. Minor complaint, really. The location is just out of the main area of town, but still well within walking distance for everything.
