National Park Service's walking tour from the Klondike National Historic Gold Rush Park to the Moore compound was very interesting and informative. Ranger Jay Proetto provided information re the formative years of the gold rush as well as the decline of same. Interesting stories about the people in and the buildings of Skagway kept everyone amused. NPS has some great old gold-rush/mining related photographs and items. Ranger Jay peppered the tour with stories of Moore, his family and their efforts so the Moore cabin and house compound made a great termination point. Nice job, Ranger Jay & National Park Service!
