The views were amazing. Narration by staff points out highlights and paints a picture of life in gold rush days. Hard to believe so many made this journey on foot. Bring warm clothes and gloves if you want to take photos while standing on platforms at ends of car. We were lucky enough to see a bear along the tracks pointed out by engineer. Definitely better sitting on left side of train on trip up as recommended by others.
