While walking around Skagway during our port excursion on a Alaska cruise, we wandered into Skagway Scooters & Day Trips. Chris (I believe he is the owner) spoke with us and suggested we take a flight with Paul of Mountain Flying Service.
Chris was very polite and not pushy or aggressive in the sale.
The flight was amazing, Paul - the pilot was wonderful , he even circled around and swooped down on a big grizzly bear!
This was a wonderful flying experience over Glacier Bay and the mountains. Paul has extensive knowledge of the area and he was fun too - A++ - 6 stars!

We booked this tour for our family of 4 during a cruise and were very excited to see the Iditarod training camp and puppies. We ended up having a private tour with Tim who was amazing with his wonderful stories and fun info that kept us constantly entertained throughout the trip. We had fantastic weather!! and Tim was able to customize the trip to our interests. We stopped at several key spots during the drive to the Yukon and were able to get incredible pictures. Had a blast at the Tagish Lake Kennel as we played with 2 week old Alaskan Huskie puppies that had just opened their eyes! Went to a lake beach and even saw a bear!! Absolutely recommend this trip for everyone!!!

This van tour to the Yukon was the best thing we did it Skagway. Harry, with a very hairy beard, was our driver and one of the most memorable parts of our tour. This tour is to the Yukon, that is in CANADA so DON’T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT! Someone in our van did and Harry very graciously turned the van around and took him back to his ship so he could get it.
Soon all was good and we were listening to Harry tell us all about Skagway history and legends. He didn’t speak from a tidy written script, but spoke from a huge bank of knowledge that he has accumulated. He’s just the kind of person that absorbs everything he sees and hears. Ask him to tell some ghost stories you’ll get a good laugh. He also had a great eye for spotting and identifying wildlife. We stopped several times to look at bears.
Our destination was the Tagish Lake Kennel, home of Iditarod musher Michelle Phillips. There we met Michelle and so many of the sweetest sled dogs you could imagine. There were even puppies! We also got a little taste of dog sledding on a ride in a cart pulled by dogs. What fun! There was even a talk about the equipment the dogs and mushers use.
The trip back to Skagway was just as beautiful as the trip out and Harry answered any questions we had and gladly snapped group pictures.
Back at the shop there was coffee and mini donuts. They also rented scooters. Chris, the owner, could answer any questions about other tours and set you up with your next adventure.
Harry and Chris, you’re the best!

We booked this private tour instead of with the cruise ship. We only had 4 adults in the van with Tim as our guide. He was knowledgable and wise beyond his years. He was easy going and flexible and cool when driving in inclement weather. I felt very safe though the heavy rain was only for a short distance along the mountainous road. We saw waterfalls, bears, gorgeous mountains and lakes and we were able to take fantastic pictures because we could stop along the way, unlike if we took the train. Wonderful easy day trip from Skagway. Highly recommend!!!!!

We took a trip up to the Yukon territory and through Skagway with Tim as our driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable, fun, and down to earth. We saw many beautiful scenic spots along the way, and a black bear! My only complaint is that we didn't have more time!
