Lovely old style grand cafe in Morlaix square, was very busy and we had to come back, but a table was then found for us promptly.

We thought it would be snooty as first esp when waitress brought an opened bottle of mineral water! This was sent back and once we ordered there was no problems.

We both had the 4 egg omelettes with cheese and mushrooms / ham. These were the best omelettes I have had in my life. I normally have butter on my bred with an omelette but you couldnt with these. They had been fried a lovely golden brown in butter and they tasted decadent! We then had a chocolate cake, which was superb.

As the meal progressed staff and other customers paid lot of attention to us and our little one who was eating very well at the table (as french children do!) this seemed appreciated and liked by everyone. She was offered many little treats by the waiters.

By the end we had really enjoyed the meal, the decor in here is fab, especially the ceiling and bar!

I have been visiting this restaurant for twelve years on a pretty regular basis and it is one of the meeting places for locals in Morlaix. The food is OK, but then, it's not pricey. A great place to siit outtside of on a sunny day and watch le monde go by. It also seems to be etremely popular with Brits before they make for the ferry at Roscoff.

Try it on a Saturday morning and you have a good view of the viaduct & the market (the best bit is behind les halles in the other square). There used to be an air of 'shabby' about this place, with le patron leaning against the bar smoking and chatting to his mates, while his wife did all the work. It was also one of the last bastions of long drop toilets, but it was sold a cou[ple of years ago and the new owners have certainly removed the shabby label. It is now a good placeto go as long a you are not wanting haute cuisine.

Popped in for a spot of lunch whilst in france for the day. The food was nice and the staff were friendly especially as I was trying to practice my french whilst there.

Food is overpriced for what it is, but it is a lovelty venue for lunch. They did run out of quite a lot from the menu which was a shame.

The ceiling is very reminiscent of a former time and well worth going just for the look. The service is good and the food reasonable.
