Padaste Manor offers one of the most unique hotel and travel experiences one could hope to have. Estonia as a country is a nice alternative to heavily touristed Europe. the people are pleasent, spoke good English, food is simple and multi cultural, the land itself is quite unspoiled from what I could see and the dollar goes a long way. Just a short drive and quick ferry crossing from the capital Tallinn is Muhu Island where Padaste Manor is located. Arriving on the Manor grounds feels like your a special guest of a magical world. What appears to have once been an estate of Lords and Royal Ladies past, has been transfomed into a fantasy fit for a king. From what I could tell the main structure had been renovated but it's classical design had been well preserved. They landscape designer made great use of the natural beauty of the tree and grass walk ways that wind around the property towards the Baltic Sea.
The rooms had wonderful emenities like wood burning fire places, high ceilings, natural wood floors, large modern bathrooms with Molton Brown bath products, flat screen TV's that disappear and cozy comfortable beds with traditional duvet covers. The included breakfast was amazing, It was half buffett /half cooked to order and the service was superb. Their dining room was delightful and spacious.
The additional structures on the property appear to have been coach and horse stables built out of stone. They have also been renovated into guest rooms and a seafood restaurant. There was one other lovely cottage, practically hidden, that served as a private 3 bedroom suite. I think a whole family had booked it when I was there so I didn't see inside, but it looked very private.
The dining there was aces all over!! Their Master Chef Peeter created dishes like I'd never seen or tasted before. The use of indiginus game and fresh local produce was evident in every touch. The meals were set 4 course with choices of a two or three items.
The bread was something out of heaven. I think they used wild blueberries in one of their bread choices.... all baked on the premises.
The owners/managers were avialable to the guests for every need and request. I was surprised to see how much emphesis was put on their client's enjoyment. At one point one of the owners Imre, found out that a couple dining that night were celebrating their anniversary. He congratulated them by playing a lovely tune on the piano.
I hope to make my way beck to Pedaste again some time soon. It really is an unforgettable destination!

Have been visiting Padaste many times now and every time it has been superb experience. To be honest, the moto ''simple luxury'' describes it all - simple luxury time with yourself, loved one(s) and time. All complimented with best cuisine, seaside fresh air and beautiful just restored manor house. Every detail is in place and staff to help you with your questions. Lots of activities to do around the Muhu island (visit Koguva, ostrich farm) and in the manor (spa is just outstanding with full treatment including hay bath and massage, magnificent). My warmest regards to the Padaste people and see you there next time.

It was our first trip with our 6month old son and we could not have choosen it better than we did when staying at Pädaste Manor. The service is excellent but still undemonstrative thus you can enjoy the peace and quietness of the beautiful scene. It was really a place to rest! The cuisine is remarkable and although everything was precious and distinguished, having dinner with the baby was no problem at all, the service not pretentious. And the breakfast is simply unique! Definitly worth visiting.

Padaste Manor is a beautiful, charming spot on out of the way Muhu Island, off the coast of Estonia. The drive from Tallinn took about 2 hours and was very pleasant, including a ferry crossing. The Manor has a gated entry, a lovely spa, a helipad, and a small dock. The restaurant was on a par with Gordon Ramsey in London. Ene at the front desk and Krystal in the restaurant took exceptional care of me. My room and terrace were lovely. The hotel is small and so is Muhu. This is not a place to go in search of wild nightlife or crowds of people, but if you seek quiet, nature, comfort, and peace, it's a great place.
