“good food but service really slow”
Reviewed February 14, 2014 via mobile

Not sure about address but there are 2 Aroma cafes in San Ramon and I have been to both. One is larger and the other smaller. The smaller one is located about a block from the Cafe Delicias. The coffee and tres leches were very good but service was very slow. You mark what you want on a piece of paper and then give to the staff. We waited much longer than normal for them to bring it over. The cake was better than that of Delicias but I really wonder why it takes so long

“Lots of menu choices and large portions!”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We wanted to try typical Costa Rican fare (as we are from the US) and we loved Aromas Cafe. We went to the location in town, not at the 'small'. The menu offers a lot of choices including the occasional non-Costa Rican 'hamburger' for those who may not want to try the local fare. Our favorites were the nachos, burritos, fried fish, salads and drinks. We loved the unique way that they lemonade and iced tea were prepared. My husband and children also raved about the milkshakes. In fact, they raved so much that we returned to Aromas Cafe two more times during our visit. And finally, the cakes! We were celebrating 4 birthdays during our August 2013 visit and purchased the macadamia and chocolate cakes for our celebration - yum! Plan to be full when you leave.

“Buena comida/ Good food”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

We stopped in for lunch. I had the burritos, which came with 2 burritos, salad, and fries. I also had a drink of cas. Everything was very good. They have a portion of the menu that has smaller orders that you could get as appetizers or to combine a few things for a meal. A few of us just ordered 1 thing off that part and we were surprised at how big the portions were.
We sat near the entrance, but next time I'll try to sit inside in the back. It looks very nice and is open air.
We'll definitely be back.
