We stayed two nights in the Burl cabin and were very pleased. It's pretty snug (that is, small), but cozy and warm and with a great front porch that overlooks the creek with salmon spawning just a few feet away. Plus there was a flock of mallards that shared our evening snacks. It's close to Exit Glacier and far enough from Seward to be sheltered from the tourist madness but still conveniently close. We didn't try the sauna but it looked fine. You do have to use the shared restroom/bathhouse that is perhaps 50 yards away, but the ambiance made it worth the trouble. Plus there are a couple of resident, friendly dogs--always a plus to have a cold wet nose to rub.

What do I say - we loved it and wished we were staying for longer than the one night we had here. We stayed in Spruce cabin and it was perfect for us with it's deck looking out onto the creek. I could have sat there for hours watching the fish and ducks. We relaxed drinking beer on the deck and invited Tim the owner over after my husband saw he was doing chores and drinking cheap Australian lager. After being plied with Alaskan beer we all had a great afternoon. Tim lit our fire pit when it got dark and kept it going until we went out. Tim couldn't have been more helpful and friendly from check in to leaving. He and his friend even took us to the Yukon bar in the evening which we would also recommend. The room and bathroom facilities were spotless. I would recommend this to anyone who loves peace and serenity in beautiful surroundings (even if the next door neighbour needs to tidy his lot up somewhat). We asked Tim about the earlier bad review and he said this really hurt him as he had upgraded the woman to the Spruce free of charge and she hadn't made any indication that she was unhappy with the accommodation whilst she was there. We just decided she must need her head testing as the place was heavenly. Overall a great place to stay and virtually next door to the Barn Appetit with it's fantastic crepes.

My wife and I stayed in the Burl Cabin for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. You can find all the details of what these cabins include in other reviews - I will simply note that they are wonderful cabins located on a beautiful property just a few miles north of Seward. Of the 5 different places we stayed on our trip, this was our favorite. Highly recommended.

My two children and I stayed here for 3 nights. All the cabin reviews listed tell it like it is. It's a great spot for anyone looking for something that isn't a hotel/motel. The outside fire pit, sauna, and internet access are all a plus! The location is convenient and yet feels remote, being just outside Seward and on the way to Exit Glacier. And the host, Tim, goes out of his way to ensure that you enjoy your stay and time in and around Seward. I would recommend Alaska Creekside Cabins to anyone visiting the Seward area!
