We stayed for 2 nights. The "suite" that we stayed in looked like a regular one bedroom apt complete with a kitchen, bath, balcony etc. Very comfortable and well stocked. Convenient location. It was like being at home.Loved it.

We stayed in the full suite for 4 nights and were extremely comfortable. The bedroom has blackout shades, which was really appreciated with the long daylight hours! The suite is upstairs which allows for a beautiful view of the mountains and Resurrection Bay (unfortunately, the electrical lines mar the view some.) Fresh fruit, juice, muffins and a variety of cereals and snacks were nice to have. Debra also arranged a Kenai Fjords tour for us that was a marvelous experience. This is within an easy walk to the Alaska Sea Life Center and historic downtown Seward.

Alaska's point of View is a gem! My husband and I were so comfortable there that we did not want to leave. We stayed in the studio suite, that had a small covered porch. That was a blessing on rainy days. The room was very cozy, decorated with handmade items and stained glass windows. The insulated black-out shades on the windows and porch door are a fantastic idea. There is a small "kitchen" area with a mini fridge, coffeemaker , plates, etc. Debra, the owner, will bring you huge muffins and fruit every day, and also take away your dirty dishes. Awesome!! The bed is super duper comfortable, the mattress topper she put on is really doing the trick. The little gas log fireplace was also very nice and romantic on a chilly night. During our stay, Debra made us discounted reservations for a tour of the fjords (that turned into a fantastic wildlife tour as well). Had we reserved ourselves it would have cost more. She does have quite a few rules and notes up everywhere, but we understood, after all, adults should be respectful of others' property. Debra does have a dog and two-three cats, so if you have allergies, be aware. The dog was the quietest dog in the world, only heard her? barking once in the morning for like a minute. We can't say enough good things about Debra and her b&b. Stay here!! Next time we're in Seward we will too.

Thank you so much for your glowing review. I would like to mention that even though we do have 3 cats on the property, they are not allowed in our rooms. We have had people stay that do have allergies and not have a problem. Also even though that suite is geared towards romance and a single couple, we do have other units that are just as nice geared towards families. Thank you again for taking the time to post on tripadvisor.com.

Stayed 3 nights during our stay in Seward. We stayed in the studio suite. Very comfortable room. Clean with a lot of extras. Great muffins and fruit every morning. Debra has thought of everything. She was a very good hostess. This place is a great alternative to a hotel. One stain glass window that doesn't have a cover for it, making it difficult to block out the light.
The website makes the studio suite appear to sit alone. But the truth is that the room is attached to her residence. There is a door that connects this room to her kitchen.
Overall this was a wonderful place to stay, and I would highly recommend.

Found Alaskan POV on the internet while searching for a place to stay. It was a wonderful. The rates were reasonable and it was much nicer than a hotel. So detailed and personalized without being cluttered. Deb had muffins, fruit, candy and all kinds of goodies in there for us. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, but we did enjoy the gas fireplace. The bed was so comfy we didn't want to get up in the morning. I have already recommended this place to several people. Also, Deb will assist you with your travel plans in the area - boat trips, etc.

We stayed in Alaska's Point of View Studio Suite for 4 nights. We found Debra beyond helpful, friendly, and a great host. The room was clean, comfortable, the bathtub awesome. Debra went above and beyond to help us and make our stay fabulous. Alaska's point of view will also book nearby accomodations, we stayed at Annie's Anchor Inn, an apartment style accomodation, it was also great.

Just got back from a much needed weekend vacation to seward and stayed at Alaska POV. LOVED IT!! We live in anchorage and had a spur of the moment weekend off together. Rare when your husband is in the army and works crazy shifts. Booked the studio suite last minute and got a fantastic price. Debra had gone to anchorage for the day and left the keys for us to pick up. I work the front desk at a hotel in anchorage, so I tend to be a touch picky. We arrived late afternoon/early evening (we stopped at beluga point on the way down) and were ready to grill. The grill was a bit dirty and the handle was broken, but we didn't mind very much. The room was very nicely decorated. I loved the agate slices in the walkway and the windows. "Kitchen" area consisted of a microwave, dishes, utensils, 2 coffee makers, fruit and muffin basket, teas, coffees, popcorn, hot cocoa, sugars, cereals, and mini fridge with milk and juice. Milk was in a box, not a jug. That was a new experience for me. Debra's dog, Pandi, welcomed us to the house and promptly adopted us. Very sweet dog. The first bath in the jacuzzi (the main reason I booked) was chilly. Debra fixed it, no problem. Subsequent baths were heavenly. Gas fireplace was awesome and very warm. Bathroom was nice. Bed was incredible although I'm not sure it was a queen. (Couldn't tell for certain) Very soft, warm and inviting. I loved the quilt too. Not what I would call walking distance to the small boat harbor, otherwise fine. Overall, a GREAT time. Would (and will) definitely recommend to couples or singles.
