“Decent Food -- Pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2011

Unfortunately, in October, many restaurants are closed and there are very few options from which to choose. Apollo offers pizza, seafood, Greek, etc. I ordered a lasagna dish for ~$15 and it was pretty good. I know this is Seward where, the prices are...exuberant, but, the food was pretty decent. The service was.....meh. Not much more to say.....

“The best Seward has to offer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

Very friendly and calm atmosphere even though this is an extremely busy restaurant throughout the day. Usually when dining out at a busy restaurant one accepts the fact that there will be a longer wait time. Not here, the service was prompt, the food was amazing, plenty of Alaskan Amber Ale (great beer by the way, highly recommend it for all to try), and amazing staff.

My food of choice was Moysaka, a seasonal dish, which contains ground beef mixed with eggplant and potatoes. Serving size is very generous, while the price is less than what you would expect to find in other Greek or Italian establishments. A big plus...

The owner of Apollo will also come out from the kitchen and chat with patrons. Its little things like this that elevate Apollo above the rest.

If you're in Seward, you owe it to yourself to have dinner or lunch at Apollo at least once, but if you go once, you'll come back again.

“Happened upon this place, very good”

In a town with somewhat limited choice, especially late in the season, this place was very good. Fresh Greek salads, friendly service.

“Surprise, surprise... :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

I went on Alaska for my vacation with my friends and we spend few days in Seward.
We met some local people in the souvenir shop and we asked them where to eat... They told us to go in this greek-italian-seafood restaurant. It was six of us and we had a different wishes about food, so we decided to try there. It was just like we walked in one of the taverns in Athens. I had Athenian chicken witch was grilled chicken with amazing greek spaghetti. That was one of the best meals in my life! Portions were huge! That was surprise for us, because we are from Switzerland. It's not like that here... :)
Our waiter was an older gentleman, very polite and very funny.
Of course, prices on Alaska are little bit higher, but this is the place where you should spend your money. We were in Seward for three nights and every night we went in Apollos. It was just like we had a dinner at home.
