The view is spectactular, but the food is meh. We had high hopes because we were there for the Cooper River salmon and were salivating for the fish. Our waiter was sour and clearly hated his job. The salmon was tasty with a nori wrap, but nothing special especially the rice and sauce. Perhaps our expectations were too high. We were very disappointed by the quality compared to the price.

We dined at Ray's for lunch after our AK Railroad trip. We were looking forward to our first taste of AK halibut! We were seated at the window with a beautiful view of the harbor. 3 of us ordered the Halibut and chips. The portions on each plate of 2 pieces probably totaled less than 2 oz of fish. The fish was overlooked and dry. We thought the value per portion was inflated. We later dined at another Seward restaurant, and ordered the Halibut Bowl. It was a much better value, taste, and presentation, although it lacked the ambiance of Ray's.

Service and selection at Ray's Waterfront were very good. My husband ordered the ribs and I enjoyed the Halibut Picatta (their spelling), one of my favorite fish choices and preparations. Both were quite good and we recommend the restaurant.

Waterfront dining, great food, and great service. What more could you ask for ?
We stopped by for lunch and had the crab melt and seafood linguini. Both were absolutely delicious and the linguini was chock full of seafood ( not the one or two measly pieces you sometimes get)
If you are in Seward, I highly recommend Ray's
