“Love it!”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

The place is charming and quaint and has that homely feeling to it. The Crepe Dujour was deeelicious. It is a big serving but I was able to finish it. The place wasn't hard to find at all! From Seward take a left onto Exit Glacier Rd and then take a right on Old Exit Glacier Rd. Can't miss the big red barn. I got there and really enjoyed the atmosphere and enjoyed Janet and Ivan's(owners) converstation and company. They are really friendly people. Janet just retired from teaching so she is looking for ideas of where to go for vacation so if you have any ideas of somewhere tropical and not to touristy please feel free to share! I sure did. :) Really enjoyed the place and will go again! Also ask Janet about the her story of when Super Tramp visited and stayed for a few days!

“It's Not McDonalds”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

Don't let the outside appearance of Le Barn Appetit frighten you off! The crepes here are outstanding - as is the hospitality of the owners and hosts. It's located just a block off the main highway heading toward Exit Glacier - very easy to find. We shared the tropical dessert crepe - it was light but very filling because of its size. Don't be in a hurry when you go there. Relax, enjoy the cameraderie and humor of the chef, talk to your new friends you're sharing a table with. Like Yvon says, "It's not McDonalds!" - thank goodness!

“WOW, giant serving. Great conversation”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

The atmosphere was amazing. Yvon and his wife were very interesting to talk to. We had the Crepe Dujour, with Reindeer sausage. It was a monster, glad we didn't order one each, becuase when we shared and were both full when finished. Not the food we expected in Alaska, but pleasantly surprised!

“Great breakfast crepe”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

For breakfast, my wife and I (outsider tourists) split a "Crepe Dujour," which from the printed menues appears to the crepe dujour every day. Here's how you can get it: SPINACH/EGG/REINDEER SAUSAGE OR HAM/CHEESE. $15.50 We took the version with ham rather than reindeer sausage. Proprietor and Chef Yvon told us that one crepe might be enough to split, unless we were big eaters. He was right. Great crepe cooked in front or our eyes. Unfortunately, we live in the lower 48. If we were living locally, we'd like to go back and try each of their crepes (one day and one crepe at a time, of course). The "dining room" is fascinating. This place "fits" in Alaska.
