“Seward City Campground”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

My husband and I loved this campground which is part of Waterfront Park. Our site had full hookup and was right on the waterfront. The cost was $30 which is equivalent to other AK campgrounds. Reservation are not accepted but there were plenty of sites open for us during our mid-week stay.
The number one reason to stay here? Location. The view was beyond BEAUTIFUL! I loved that we had uninterrupted views of the bay and mountains. Each night we sat with some other campers we met and enjoyed a fire right next to the water. We watched seals swim up and down the bay. It was amazing. Also, with the central location, we were able to walk everywhere in Seward. We walked to the marina for our Kenai Fjords tour, to restaurants and to the Alaska SeaLife Center.

I have attached the official website for the campground. Enjoy!

“Great playground for kids, also nice camping, skatepark, picnicking, and even wildlife!”
Reviewed August 3, 2011

The entire Seward waterfront is wonderful and accessible. The city has done a nice job creating an ADA waterfront trail, a nice campground, and even fun stuff for kids.

Walking along the waterfront you can often see eagles, sea otters, and occasionally sea lions, seals, and even whales.

There is a wonderful playground which was built by the community. My kids can literally spend hours playing there. And right next to it is a pretty nice skate park so older kids can be entertained as well.

This is a nice place to take a break from spending money in Seward.
