“World class charter service!!!!”
Reviewed April 1, 2012

Captain Sean and his crew are one of the finest charter outfits I have ever been out with. His crew was very friendly and great at handling the all the fish we were catching. Not only is captain Sean one of the very best fishermen I have ever had the pleasure to go out with, his entire staff was excellent and gave us the trip of a lifetime. We will definitely be back to Alaska Northern Outfitters!!!!!

“Great Charter Fishing out of Seward, Alaska”
Reviewed January 17, 2012

I went on an all day charter fishing trip for multiple species called the Salmon/Halibut combo trip. We got halibut, salmon, and one person on board even caught a huge ling cod. We also saw a Humpback whale, some other wildlife, and enjoyed the Alaska mountains and landscape on a beautiful day.

The crew was very knowledgeable, friendly, and very experienced. They made sure everyone had a good experience. They'd bait your hooks and keep you fishing so you could catch your fill. They tag your fish for you and show you were to go have it packed and frozen if you're going to take it back home with you. The boat "Seaquest" was very well maintained and had a bathroom on board. There was an indoor area where you could go warm up if you got cold. If you're prone to seasickness, take your meds before you go, and pack your lunch. This was a fabulous charter fishing experience.

“If you're going to tour the waters of AK, you may as well come back with some awesome fish!”
Reviewed August 28, 2011

The full day Halibut trip begins bright and early. We were greeted with early smiles, and a rundown of safety tips for the boat. There were an array of people on the boat from children to elderly. The boat, an aluminum catamaran, runs fast and smoothly. We were at our fishing destination in approximately 2.5 hrs. That left a long day of fishing ahead of us. It is a relaxed atmosphere. Fish when you want, snack when you want, and enjoy the sites and sounds when you want. They started off at a few locations where there are known larger halibut. A few were successful, and although I wasn't one who caught the big one, it's fishing, not catching! So towards the end of the day we headed to a notorious chicken hole. And in the past years, Alaska's chicken holes have gone from an average of 25# to an average of 5-10# fish. The captain put us on a nice hole, where the fish were between 15-25#. We all caught our limit, and even some really good looking Silvers. Also caught were black sea bass, yellow-eye and lingcod. If you're going to pay for a cruise to see the sights... you may as well come back with some really good fish!
About the captain and crew. They were a young bunch. I was surprised, and I admit a little skeptical. But these gentlemen were on top of everything. Keeping to boat clean, making sure everyone was comfortable, supplies were filled, everyone got attention, and they were great for conversation as well. The captain has definitely developed his nautical navigational skills as well, keeping us on the fish while keeping us in the sunshine and out of the rain! I highly recommend a day trip with them. And make sure you ask about specials!

“Nice Charter”
Reviewed July 31, 2011

After being booked last minute (our original charter's boat had mechanical trouble), we set sail with Alaska Northern on a salmon/halibut combo. Very nice boat, very nice crew, very nice equipment. We limited out on halibut, salmon, and rockfish that day, but were a bit disappointed in the smaller size of the halibut. However, we got what we were promised, so no complaining! The ship was organized; the crew was great to talk to and get assistance from. It was a great experience for my husband and me while in Seward.
