“Cozy & comfortable Alaskan home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

Our group of eight adults stayed in the house for 7 days/6 nights. Alaskan Odyssey had plenty of room for our group (and then some)! The house was not utilized as a "bed and breakfast" during our stay, we had the entire house to ourselves (booked through VRBO). There are two "master suites" in the home, one on the main floor and one on the second floor. The second floor suite also has a large wrap around balcony attached and a futon sofa. There are three other bedrooms on the second floor and a hallway bathroom. There is a third floor with two twin beds, but no bathroom. There is also a half bath on the main floor. The house has a full kitchen, washer and dryer, outdoor firepit, and grill. The house has wifi Internet, as well as a computer and printer available. It is comfortably located in a residential area, but is also privately tucked in the woods. There is no air conditioner in the house, but all bedroom windows open at night (except the main floor room), as do windows in the kitchen and living room. One great Alaskan experience was getting to observe a mother and young moose right outside the house! I almost don't want to post this review to keep this as my "secret" Alaskan hideaway - but you will be glad you know about it too!!

Just rented this house for two nights for our group of seven people. It's large and comfortable with good wi-fi and mobile phone service. Five of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds. There's one and a half bathrooms on the ground floor and two on the second floor. There are two bedrooms with single beds on the third floor but no bathrooms up there. Also note that access to the third floor is through the master bedroom. The view from the master and several of the bedrooms is really nice. It has a big porch on the second floor that is a cool place to sit in the evenings. It also has a washer and dryer. There's no air conditioning which shouldn't be a problem under normal circumstances but was a bit warm for the record breaking heat we had when we were there.

Went to Alaska with the whole family ( party of 7 adults and a teen). We stayed in the whole house for two nights after our cruise arrived in Seward. The house is fabulous! It has everything you will ever need from a computer with printer, wi-fi, tv, fire pit and grill, plus the kitchen is stocked with all kinds of condiments, coffee, syrup, butter, etc.. Make sure you visit the house before going to the grocery store...we bought several things that were already there.
After coming from the small rooms on the ship we were so happy to have a room to ourselves ...there are soooo many beds in this house :) Beautifully decorated and Gala is a joy to work with. We even had a moose caming out in the front yard for hours our first night. What a great place...thank you Gala!!!
