If you visit Alaska, you must go to Seward, and if you go to Seward, you must stay at the Adams Street B&B (ASBB)! I cannot praise this place and it's hosts enough! My husband and I came off the trail soaked from days kayaking and camping and immediately felt at home at the ASBB! Judy, our host, made us feel welcome from the start, and I absolutely loved the renovations and decor there. The house is gorgeous, it is across the street from the bay and the bay windows give you a great view of sea life, boats coming in the harbor, children playing, horse carriages going by and of course, Mount Alice! You can also easily walk to Downtown Seward restaurants and shops, or take the free shuttle to the harbor and train station. Each morning we had a great breakfast with fruit, eggs and waffles! In the evening, there is a happy hour with drinks and snacks. Eeach meail had fresh salmon that Judy caught herself. Judy made us feel like family so much that when we left, I felt like I had made a new friend. If you are looking for more privacy, you may want to ask for the room with the bathroom attached, but we had no trouble sharing our bathroom with another couple (not a line at the door once!) If you are planning a stay in Seward, skip the hotels, you will feel more comfortable at Adams Street!
