We used a toursaver coupon and took the 6 hour Kenai Fjords tour. It was overcast for most of the day, but that only brought our the blue color in the glaciers. We saw so much wildlilfe..whales, puffins, eagles. sea lions, otters, birds galore, mountain goats, a bear and so much more. Our trip included a chicken ceasar wrap lunch, which was actually better that expected. The boat was only about 2/3 full so there was plenty of room to move around. There were seats inside and out and upstairs and down. The Crew provided great information and spotted the wildlife quickly. OUr Captain took us to see the bird rookeries first and then went to the glacier after the other boats had left....perfect timing for a great large calving event. This was a great day and I would recommend to anyone.

We took the nine-hour tour and had a great time. We saw a lot of sea life (humpback whales, seals, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, orcas and numerous kinds of birds). The crew was good at spotting the sea life and then explaining a lot about the animals and birds. When we got to the glacier, the captain turned off the motor and we sat in the bay for a bit to listen to the glacier calve and see the ice falling. Pretty amazing.

The day of our tour the weather went from bad to worse. We had Captain Steve who saved the day. We weren't able to go into the Gulf because of gale force winds and 18 ft waves so he kept us in the Bay. It rained the whole time and we were booked for the 8.5 hour tour that included dinner at Fox Island. Captain Steve kept us all interested with the stories and history of the area and wild life. We were able to see sea lions, puffins, bald eagles, sea otters, a pod of killer whales that came within 30 feet of our boat and a Minke whale...all this in the Bay! We ended up eating at Fox Island for lunch...which was good. Our tour ended up being about 4-5 hours long, the ladies at the front desk gave us all a refund for the difference and had it ready as soon as we got back, no long line to wait in. We are looking forward to going back and giving this cruise another try while hoping for sunshine!

We had a coupon from the Northern Lights coupon book and took the National Park Tour lasting 6 hours. Included in the price was lunch including a chicken ceasar wrap, granola bar, carrots, a drink, and a cookie at the end of the trip. The trip was quite long, but with the amount of sightings we had, it really broke up the day. We saw humpback whales, orcas, dall porpoises, mountain goats, puffins, a black bear, sea lions, sea otters, and bald eagles. We also saw a few glaciers and got to see some calving. I would highly recommend the trip. I would also highly recommend some sea sick medication if there's the slightest chance you could get sick. There were a lot of sick people on the boat we took!!!

We took the Northwestern Fjord tour on its first day of operation in 2010. What a wonderful time we had. We saw Orcas, Humpbacks, sea otters, sea lions, porpoises, sea lions, eagles, mountain goats, and Glacier calvings. The food was good, a morning snack that consisted of cinimon rolls, a chicken tortilla for lunch and cookie for an afternoon snack. We hit some rough swells on our way from Fox Island to the fjord and a bunch of people got sick but we didn't thanks to Dramamine, highly recommend it for those who may get sea sick on ocassion. Also bring warm clothes, gloves, and a hat. It is very cold at the Glacier. My hands were numb after holding my camcorder for so long. Our captain was great as was the crew.
Even those at the ticket counter and on the reservation phone were nice and professional. All in all a fantastic experience.
