Description: Welcome to the Railway Cantina in beautiful Seward, Alaska! A local favorite, we offer the best burritos, quesadillas, and tacos you'll have on the Kenai Penninsula. Our ingredients are fresh, and include housemade salsas, local halibut, reindeer, steak, chicken, shrimp, crab, salmon, falafel, and tofu. Along with your meal, enjoy a selection of Alaskan brewed beer or a glass of wine. We're located in the small boat harbor, across the street from the Seward Yatch Club. Looking forward to your visit!

“Legit burritos ”
Reviewed July 5, 2014 via mobile

We ordered a burrito, nachos, and a beer. A bit spendy at $30, but the burrito was really good. Food served fast and hot, with friendly service. The nachos had fake cheese on them (like what you'd get with ball park nachos), which was not my favorite. Overall good though!

“Burritos & Beer --- Good "Alaska-Mex" Food”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

http://www.railwaycantina.com

I never thought I'd see a restaurant serving Mexican type food in Seward, Alaska. Recommemded by Fodor's, so we gave it a try. You've heard the expression, "not much atmosphere but great food?" This place is that.

Both the Blackened Halibut and Pulled Pork Burritos were excellent. Nice flavor, slightly spicy, and you could spice them up further with the 12 fresh house-made salsas. They range from mildly spicy to what I would call the "12-Alarm," a concoction that includes some ghost pepper. I stayed with the mild one with our nachos. The "mid-range" salsas might include jalapeno, serrano, habanero, or other spicy peppers.

Also a nice selection of Alaskan beers, both from Alaska Brewing and other smaller craft breweries. 2 or 3 are on tap. And some wine selections. I tried Dolly Varden Nut Brown Ale from Kassick's, a craft brewer in Kenai. Quite good!

The halibut burritos were excellent! Beware...the sauces are hotter than expected! The reindeer burrito was also very good..tender meat with excellent flavor.

“Good but over priced”

Blackened halibut burrito was average sized, tasty and spicy. It was also $15 :/ Small eating area, good variety, burritos but not Mexican.

“Hope you like it spicy”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

Be warned they put a spicy chipotle sauce on all the burritos which are $11, drinks are bottled. My husband got the Halibut but couldn't eat it because of the chipotle. The chicken one I ordered was burned. One of my friends liked his but he hit the tums later. The other friend ordered the nachos and liked them.
