“A Kona regular for us”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

We always stop in for lunch once or twice at each visit to Kona. The Canoe Club has a great location right next to the ocean and serves excellent burgers and fresh fish. The visit this year I chose a Caesar salad with Ono. The fish was cooked to perfection and the salad fresh and delicious. The covered lanai next to the beach with the trade winds blowing is a perfect spot for lunch. Probably great for dinner too, but we always go for lunch.

“Wow, What a Surprise”
Reviewed June 4, 2014

On our last day in Kona we decided to have dinner at the Kona Canoe Club. We both had hamburgers that were excellent. The service was also excellent with a laid back atmosphere. We were also treated to seeing spinner dolphins do their thing in the bay. All in all it was quite a memorable last meal in Kona

“A great find in Kona for a burger!”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

Came across this place by chance as we were shopping in Kona recently, and so glad we decided to give it a try! The setting is lovely, right next to the water, and it's tucked away off the streets so it wasn't crowded. I was craving a burger, so I ordered the Uncle Billy burger - awesome! Char-grilled flavor, big patty, and perfect! The only somewhat-negative comment is they charge extra for fries with the burgers, unfortunately. But in all fairness, even the extra charge is still in line with prices at other places for burgers that include fries. Plus, I had a burger at another place not too far away that was recommended for burgers, but it wasn't a delicious as this place. Also had a mai tai that was overpriced and very weak...but I'm a bit of a mai tai snob after discovering the best ever in Maui years ago. Overall, a very nice hidden gem in Kona town. If you want a burger, I highly recommend Kona Canoe Club!

“Good for a burger and the fish is always spot on”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

Ate there many times. Right on the water with nice breezes and a good bar selection. Menu has something for everyone. Some plates are too big for one small eater. the burgers are always great as are the fish sandwiches. Fries are done the way I like them. On the Ironman Route and nice views of the bay. You usually will have a nice meal as it is dependable and service is good. No complaints from me or my guests and prices are not too bad.

“Great location, great service, good prices, good food.”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

Lunch (late) and in time for Happy Hour with cheaper drinks.
On the verandah overlooking the ocean, The Rhapsody of The Seas and all the small boats, couldn't have been a better way to spend a couple of hours.
Service with more than enough smiles was great and the burgers were good honest fare. Drinks were cold as needed and delivered promptly.
Definitely one of the better restaurants in Kona and well worth a visit.
