We stumbled on this place, at the southern end of the shopping area on Ali'i Drive in Kailua-Kona, because it had a nice Happy Hour. The restaurant is located right on the beach/rocks next to the ocean and has a great atmosphere. There was live music both times we went, a hula dancer, and terrific drinks. I do have to say the food wasn't all that great, but the Happy Hour drinks, music and setting were perfect for a Hawaiian experience; just don't expect a lot from the food. I had tacos and nachos on the Happy Hour menu, for $3, and I guess for the price they were good. But the dinner I had (Kalbi ribs) and my guest had were just okay. Still, I'd happily return here because it was exactly what I always hoped for on a Hawaiian vacation, plus the sunset is spectacular. One note: Happy Hour can be crowded, but once Happy Hour ends at 6:00 (order your drinks before it ends) the place is not full.
