Kua Bay is one of the most spectacular beaches in Kona. Great location for catching waves! It is rumored that locals can be unfriendly in this area but I experienced no problems!

Picture-perfect in every way and by far the best time we've spent on a beach - or in the water - here in Hawaii so far. Sugary-soft sand, crystal-clear blue water, wonderful snorkeling and awesome sea turtles. We arrived at about 9:45am on a Thursday and had no problem finding a parking spot and a wonderful patch of sand for our towels. Wish we'd had an umbrella so that we could have spent the entire day there (after four hours - and multiple applications of 45 SPF lotion - we had to call it a day before we looked like little red lobsters). Spectacular beach that's worth searching out!

Stunning blue water, not too crowded, soft sand, and just the right amount of remoteness. Our family adored it. Make sure you bring a tube or boogie board and spend a great day bobbing around the waves. This beach was the highlight of our trip--even more fun than the Fair Wind snorkel cruise! Just good, pure family time. Perfect waves for our 6 and 12 year olds.

Breathtaking small beach that is hidden in a very arid almost desert like state park. The water is pure and so blue or makes you geek like you have discovered a hidden gem. Too beautiful not to share.Great little reef providing amazing snorkeling....

body surfing heaven for a rookie like me! FYI, beach fills up rather quickly even in off season. your walk may be long as parking is along the road, only drop off at the shower/ bathrooms
