“Very pretty beach”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

This beach is a beautiful little turquoise bay with a lava rock field just to the south of it. Part of the bay is protected with few waves, but another part of the bay had pretty large waves where people were boogie boarding. The sunset here was beautiful. This beach is easily accessible with a parking lot right by the beach. Has restrooms and showers.

“Fav beach on Hawaii”
Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

Fav beach, breaching whales, spinner dolphins, crazy surf (winter months), great facilities, occasional lifeguard (!) but great ocean and beach experience for families, couples, friends alike.

“The most beautiful beach I've ever seen!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

We spent a morning at this beach the week before Easter. It's a small, very beautiful beach. However, because of the holiday it filled up quickly and we suddenly felt like people were on top of us. My husband was out snorkeling and cut his foot on some lava so we packed it up around noon and by that time it was very crowded. We tried again the Monday after Easter and after looking at all the cars parked along the road, moved on to a different beach. If you weren't there on a busy day, it's a pretty white sand beach with small waves for kids to play in and some good snorkeling.

“Just OK”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We stopped to look at this beach to consider returning the next day. It probably would have been alright, but parking was the pits, unless you get there early, no shade what so ever. Walking to the beach was not the best. Maybe next time.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

This beach is amazing! Powdery, white sand and beautiful views. It's a little hard to get down to the beach - parking isn't great and you have to climb down lava rocks, but the view is well worth it!
